Just a heads up for those who are casual users and not making huge batches of pizza dough .. The mini series have DC motor, tilt, take up a lot less space and are not as heavy. These go on sale for 150 or so every now and again. We've had one for a year or so and like the quiet, steel knobs (instead of plastic and only on DC motor models) and versatility. All the attachments work except the ice cream maker and I'd suggest a standalone for that anyway as these are better and less costly than the attachment itself.

This is a good deal though for those who need big batches of stuff for a large family or who entertain often.

They are all DC.

Check the specifications link on KA website for any color or price of a mini and you will see a "yes" for DC motor on every mini product page.

Priced differences are usually for differing demand/supply of color and sometimes the differing bundled accessories.

It should be the same? As per the manual, they both come with the same standard hooks (
Powerknead spiral dough hook, flat beater, stainless steel wire whip) I think it was only the sam's club one that had additional accessories. As for the wattage, the BB product page also lists 450W so presumably it should be the same as well if it's actually 525W instead...
