I didn't upgrade to ps4 pro because of that, and still don't have a 4k player despite 50+ 4k movies

Any thing of Sony would not have dolby vision so it makes not much sense to buy even PS5 as a uhd player. Panasonic is the answer.

My Sony UHD player has had DV for a couple years. Where did you get that wrong info?

I stand corrected, Sony UHD players have DB but not all like hdr10+ and only panasonic UHD players have both db and hdr10+.

I like SPR,Oblivion or any Earth documentaries.
If you have a good object based setup definitely go with SPR or A Quiet Place.

As I understand it, the X1100ES is the same as the X800 for twice the price, it just adds analog audio out and support for home theater automation. If you use HDMI or audio and don't have RS232 control in your system, just get the UBP-X800.
