I know next to nothing about TV's (and I'm sure the TV guru's will chime in on this one if it is no good) but I do know that this Samsung 70" just dropped $150 in price and is now a bit more attractive to my budget.

What a dilemma, we know the Tu7000 is ~250 nit panel. which is pretty dim and the Samsung 6 for $530 is $ 100 less, sooooo... is it even dimmer? or just a sticker swap.

Good point, but now we have options!
Target just dropped their price is well......Slicker deal if you get the 5% discount by having the Target card.
AFAICT, Target won't ship this (at least in the couple of cities I tried), and I'd sooner use my Costco Visa; only 1% back but a two year warranty extension.

250 nit panel???
I think even cave dwellers would have an issue with that brightness.

If it makes you feel better, a friend of mine in Newport Beach paid $11,000 for a Fujitsu 720P 50" plasma back in 2002.
I paid $999 for my 55in Sony 12 years ago...and that was after standing in the black Friday line...since midnight...🤣
