Calibration was aiming for 6500K with gamma set to 2.2. So I calibrated with a brightness of 40, contrast 50, black boost 5. Color 2.2, color temp set to User, R Gain 48, G Gain 47, B Gain 47.
It's said you can adjust brightness without affecting the temperature or colors much. Rtings calibrates at 100 nits actually (for those that don't know).
Uploaded the .icm file and the DisplayCal report post-calibration.
I can try to calibrate again under the Warm color temperature setting. I think it should be more universal, and at 6600K it's already close to my target of 6500K. Just keep in mind the whole procedure takes roughly an hour, so give me a day or two if anyone is interested.
Slickdeals site doesn't allow me to upload .icm files, so I uploaded to Google Drive.

This deal is super tempting but I will play it safe and hold out to the 30th just in case a similar Dell monitor goes on sale.
Edit: also found out that even using the Costco Visa Rewards CC will not qualify your purchase for the price rewind. It only applies to other stores' prices, not to Costco.

2) infamous "whine" when switching between applications sometimes
3) delay changing resolutions (like going into game, or PC wake from sleep). Literally like 5 seconds. There have been reports about the delay being so long that the "confirm" option after a game changes res times out before you get to select confirm or cancel...
the delay is horrible. did i mention this already?
2) Never heard such "whine" when switching between applications or inputs (which I have to do quite often because of wfh)
3) The start up can be a little faster but definitely not 5s long as you mentioned. May be a couple seconds from sleep to wake. Changing resolution did not make my monitor go to sleep so I'm not sure what you're doing. I always have to disable this monitor on my main pc and use it for work and never noticed anything longer than 1-2s for it to switch over. Not sure where you see these reports.
May be you have a bad one and probably should consider exchanging it.
1. Stand is horrible and I echo others comments. It's just a basic slim rod but the monitor is lightweight too.
2. Screen is bright and colors are alright.
3. Turning it on and off is definitely slowest amongst any monitors I've used so far and it's noticeable.
Acer cheaped out on stand, cables and accessories on this one.

I'm using a 3080 with Gsync enabled and 144hz over DisplayPort if that makes a difference. Could also just be luck of the draw since coil whine is really unavoidable

In my case I ended up returning this monitor, really bad build quality and the stand is a joke. Mine didn't have any coil whine, but the flicker with Freesync on made games unplayable. Text was harsh, and the ghosting very heavy. Besides, this is the slowest monitor to turn on/wake up that I've ever had.
All things said and done, $350 + $30 tax + $20 on a DP cable that didn't solve anything (sent it back too) + $40-60 for a VESA arm (I would've have to get one since the stand is useless) and this didn't seem like a good deal to me.
Ended up getting a MSI monitor, same size and resolution, "only" 100Hz, but much better quality and also $50 less. Almost no ghosting and great colors.
Cheers

Still giving it a shot as I really like the curve for gaming...
