As an aside, this sale price comes out to only $4.50 per lb, which is significantly cheaper than Aldi's inferior version, and it's even cheaper than other less premium name brand butters like Land O Lakes.
EDIT -- Note, I just checked my 4-pack box (Salted) in the refrigerator that I bought a month or 2 ago... the Expiration Dates shows Dec of 2021. So, according to Kerrygold, it's good for over a year in the fridge.
Yeah, there are better butters out there. But as far as relatively affordable, mass produced, butter that's available at any supermarket. This is about as good as it gets.

As far as Land O Lakes goes... $2 a lb, really? Where are you buying Land O for $2 a lb? Even Walmart wants $3.54 a lb for the stuff -- and Walmart never puts anything on sale. If you're getting Land O for $2 a lb, then that's a steal. Although, even at $2 a lb, I still like the Kerrygold so much (esp at $4.50 a lb) that I'd pay the extra without any trouble.

In my neck of the woods Costco's Kirkland butter is relabeled LOL (it used to be relabelled Kerry Gold).
LandOLakes (Black box) does go on sale for $3/lb at Kroger and its affiliates.

I look longingly at this butter every time I pass it in costco, but I won't take the risk, no matter how small, because if you're hit, there's no cure and you die within months.
