I paid $189 last Dec for V7 absolute because i needed both the brush head and fluffy head because my house is 1/3 hardwood & 2/3 carpet.
I remember learning at the time the v11 would have given me double the battery life and i think the v11 auto-adjusted the speed/suction between hardwood and carpet, but they also had both a brush head and fluffy head available, and we were concerned that even with the motor adjusting itself between hard and carpet, we were thinking we should have still been swapping out the heads. Also i think the v11 was a pound heavier, which i assumed helped with the better battery life?
Anyway, we ended up choosing v7 since we could have bought 2 for the same price as 1 v11, and left a fluffy on 1 and a brush on the other, and still gotten our "double battery life." For us the v7 has been a fantastic conveience to conveniently whip it out daily to clean up after our kids' messy meals, but it would sure be great to be able to run it on high through the whole house without waiting 3 hours to recharge. With a big house, even the v11 wouldn't let us do a whole-house deep clean on 1 charge, so we still keep a corded as a backup.
My v12 wishlist is that dyson decides on 1 head instead of giving me a choice between 2, swappable batteries so i can have a fully charged backup on the ready, reasonable weight and price, and way to lock the trigger so I can use some of those fantastic attachments to vacuum an item that I'm holding (instead of holding the trigger down with 1 hand and using the brush attachment to clean an item that I'm holding with my feet or that i have pinned to the floor.
I did the V7 Animal deal through eBay a few months back and I've been perfectly content. I think the main difference between my model and this one is the variety of included attachments. Bottom line, this far exceeds any cordless vac I've owned and for the ~$180 I paid, I'm happy with it.
Dude those vacuums on amazon for 100-150 are total crap. I bought a couple moosoo included before returning them. They have terrible battery life and poor suction
I ended up with the LG deal from Costco. Has like 4x the suction power (comparable to dyson maybe a little less) and fluffy head for hardwood / tile / linoleum is a must.
Also, don't get your wife a vacuum for Xmas.

Good deal? Been looking at the dyson cordless vacuums, but most people recommend going with the V10 or V11.
I've tried looking up the difference's of the units and never come away satisfied with a way to identify which ones do what, and which use cases are best for which models. I hope someone can chime in and help out!

^^ same here. Feel like I should invest in the bigger one
I have been a V6 user for years now. Mine is just now showing some battery fatigue. We have all tile/hardwoods/rugs for the most part and the V6 does all of it no problem. Our cheap rugs tend to give it the most trouble in that the vacuum actually lifts the rugs up with suction so you have to keep a foot on them for it to keep rolling smoothly over it. Really impressed, havent touched my Dyson ball in years. Our house is about 2800 sqft and I have been able to cover the whole house in a charge but the dust bin requires dumping 2-4x during that stent.
Been keeping an eye on these deals for the wife for Christmas and I think I'm going to go with the moosoo cordless vac on amazon. It's cheaper and very comparable based on youtube reviews and comparisons. Any thoughts anyone?
