I paid $189 last Dec for V7 absolute because i needed both the brush head and fluffy head because my house is 1/3 hardwood & 2/3 carpet.
I remember learning at the time the v11 would have given me double the battery life and i think the v11 auto-adjusted the speed/suction between hardwood and carpet, but they also had both a brush head and fluffy head available, and we were concerned that even with the motor adjusting itself between hard and carpet, we were thinking we should have still been swapping out the heads. Also i think the v11 was a pound heavier, which i assumed helped with the better battery life?
Anyway, we ended up choosing v7 since we could have bought 2 for the same price as 1 v11, and left a fluffy on 1 and a brush on the other, and still gotten our "double battery life." For us the v7 has been a fantastic conveience to conveniently whip it out daily to clean up after our kids' messy meals, but it would sure be great to be able to run it on high through the whole house without waiting 3 hours to recharge. With a big house, even the v11 wouldn't let us do a whole-house deep clean on 1 charge, so we still keep a corded as a backup.
My v12 wishlist is that dyson decides on 1 head instead of giving me a choice between 2, swappable batteries so i can have a fully charged backup on the ready, reasonable weight and price, and way to lock the trigger so I can use some of those fantastic attachments to vacuum an item that I'm holding (instead of holding the trigger down with 1 hand and using the brush attachment to clean an item that I'm holding with my feet or that i have pinned to the floor.
Dude those vacuums on amazon for 100-150 are total crap. I bought a couple moosoo included before returning them. They have terrible battery life and poor suction
I ended up with the LG deal from Costco. Has like 4x the suction power (comparable to dyson maybe a little less) and fluffy head for hardwood / tile / linoleum is a must.
I did the V7 Animal deal through eBay a few months back and I've been perfectly content. I think the main difference between my model and this one is the variety of included attachments. Bottom line, this far exceeds any cordless vac I've owned and for the ~$180 I paid, I'm happy with it.
Good deal? Been looking at the dyson cordless vacuums, but most people recommend going with the V10 or V11.

As someone who has been shopping for these recently, you want V7 or above because they all share the same heads. I've been told V6 heads do not fit with V7 and above.
You also want them with a HEPA. From what I understand, V8 and above all have HEPA. V7 has a model that does and that doesn't have HEPA. This deal has a HEPA, which is a good thing.
V7 HEPA @ $180 is the price to beat as of right now. Barring if this seller is legit or not, this is a great deal.
Also, you may have seen the term "fluffy" or "fluffy head" inquired about. The fluffy head is an accessory that works best for hard flooring. It usually runs for about $150 retail by itself, so if you can get a deal on it, go for it.
Not sure if there will be a better price later on as we approach closer to BF/the holidays.
I also don't like to shill for companies, but I've tried the knockoff vacuums like APOSEN and they are really bad at suction. I do like that it has a light, however, but that's not something worth sacrificing suction power (which is one of the primary things to consider in a vacuum I would think). Dysons are the way to go in this category, and until I find a knockoff brand that does so, I'll continue to endorse it.

For Black Friday, Costco has the V11 for $399 but it does not come with the hardwood floor attachment head. That must be purchased separately for ~$100. Newegg has a deal for the V10 Absolute for $399 that includes the hardwood attachment head.
For all of you asking about the Dyson V11. Interesting read from Consumer Reports (sounds like CR's own testing is not reliable... based on CR members):
"Dyson stick vacuums have a history of stellar performance in Consumer Reports' tough lab tests. In fact, for the past five years, Dyson has dominated the top tier of our stick vac ratings.
That was until the results of our latest member survey revealed that Dyson stick vacs are more trouble-prone than most other brands' models, and therefore less reliable. As a result, CR removed Dyson from our list of recommended stick vacuums earlier this year.
... based on our latest survey results, Consumer Reports estimates that close to half of Dyson stick vacuums will develop problems or break within five years, compared with about a quarter of the stick vacuums from Shark, the most reliable brand of stick vacuums, according to our members."
Looks like Dyson puts a lot of effort towards design and innovation (and marketing) but maybe lacks in the QA dept. Certainly explains the droves of refurbished for sale.

Makes sense. Might have to consider purchasing from Costco then just for the ease of return/replacement. I'm sure dyson would replace if needed, but I always feel extra safe buying things from Costco.
Just had a shark vacuum that went out on me after 4 years and Costco said they would return any vacuum that was purchased in the last 5 years. Pretty sweet.
Been keeping an eye on these deals for the wife for Christmas and I think I'm going to go with the moosoo cordless vac on amazon. It's cheaper and very comparable based on youtube reviews and comparisons. Any thoughts anyone?

I bought a Moosoo and I'm now shopping for a Dyson. The suction power is so weak on the Moosoo. If I get a Dyson and it's as weak as the Moosoo, I'll return the Dyson.

Lol one of many gifts my friends. But thank you for the responses

If you open the product page, there is an image that does a comparison of all models. The biggest drawback of v7 is that it runs only for 30 minutes and v11 has 85% more suction power than v7.
