Beware, this is not the same Gateway from 90s. It's not even supported by Acer. So, you wont get any tech help if you run into any issue. This is a chinese brand laptop from random source. Somehow they get inside the Walmart but you won't get this anywhere except walmart.
Actually, Acer licensed out the rights to the Gateway brand for laptops to a Chinese company Bmorn Technology in September 2020.
Gateway is just a resurrected brand name that somebody bought a decade ago. The company is no more.
The Motile deal is impossible to get and nothing this year touches it.

I purchased one of the last "TRUE" Gateway laptops .
It had a so-so AMD Bulldozer CPU but the graphic card was above average.
(Finally had to throw it out a few months ago, it sounded like an espresso machine and got as hot as one)
As far as I know, they're the same chassis (screen at least, I think). But it's $100 cheaper and the CPU is pretty nearly the same with a better GPU.
Important question though: is the RAM upgradeable on these or soldered? If it's soldered, then the 4GB one I just linked is unusable.
EDIT1: "To make things more appealing, the 4gb of 2600mhz operating speed RAM can be expanded with a single slot on the motherboard, allowing dual channel for the APU." The RAM is upgradeable and has dual channels.
Dual-channel RAM is actually a leg-up on the Motile deal from last year, but you can't match it with the Ryzen 3's GPU.
EDIT2: Nevermind about this deal. The Ryzen 3200U is only a dual-core.

How is this comparing to last year's $300 Motile laptop deal?

This is just an ACER in disguise.
