Links not working, I'd assume that's why.

Earlier this year there was 3 tools (wrench, drill, and driver) and two batteries for same price.

Different tools but getting less during the supposed best sale of the year.

This looks like a good set for the DIY/ weekend mechanic. I like that it gets you into both the M12 and M18 platform. Not brushless tools but for occasional tire rotations, brake jobs, and other miscellaneous things, I think this set is a winner.

2 seperate battery systems to really lock you into The Brand. It might as well come with a wedding band too.

So wait for a deal on the fuel model? I've been wanting the ratchet for a while. I am a gearhead who does his own car work and this would be a nice addition to my arsenal of tools.

I have both of these (non fuel versions) and have used them for everything from attacking tough subframe and suspension bolts to rebuilding engines. Never found a bolt the impact couldn't take off and the ratchet is a noticeable time saver. The friction ring on the impact is annoying but not a deal breaker in any way. It's solid, couple it with a taiwanese impact socket kit from harbor freight. I don't think it's necessary to get this instead of something cheaper if you're only going to use it once or twice a year for rotating tires.

The only advantages to the fuel versions I can see is that they are smaller but I'm usually able to get around that using wobble extensions and u joints.

You do realize 12v and 18v tools have different uses, right?

I work on cars for a living and I own this ratchet. I absolutely love it. It seems the difference between this and fuel boil down to size and power. This is smaller and easier to use in tight spaces, the other is bulky but can bust fasteners loose better. I prefer the smaller profile and just use a wrench or ratchet to crack the bolt loose then finish off with this

That was very helpful. My issue is that all my house tools are ryobi and I just jumped on the dewalt XR drill and driver deal not too long ago but been eyeing the ratchet for a while now, just never pulled the trigger. I don't mind having a third brand to have the options for future tools.

Really? You mean I can't drill with the socket wrench?
