If the triplex pump is that expensive ($300) then it does not sound like you will find one for a little more than this cost.

had a different simpson one the aluminum housing cracked after a few years. has the quality improved?

I've owned 3 different pressure washers. currently have a honda powered 2.8gpm with this sort of cart and I HATE the cart. Every other pressure washer cart I've had was much better. PITA to store the hose, and its like it was made for some 3ft tall. Also horrible to take up or down stairs.

Yep, waiting on another deal for the Simpson PS3228. It was the deal of the day on Amazon a few months back for $398 which is a steal because it's running the GX200 engine.

We have a couple of pressure washer carts at work to clean equipment on site. They have diesel fuel heaters as well and 22HP motors. I'm not really sure what pressure they operate at but they cost around $14k. You're not going to be able to really compare home use pressure washers to industrial ones.
