Yes, just use a different email. Another thing (which is what I did). The Groupon voucher will have your new BJ's membership number - You can login into your existing BJ's account and simply update your membership number with the new number generated and continue using your existing account/email. HTH.
one year worth of BJs for $20...heck of a deal
I have paid memberships at all three. Costco is by far the best (in my opinion) - their produce and meats are a cut above everyone else's. There are some items that Sam's carries that Costco doesn't, which is why I have both. I prefer the "Scan & Go" feature that Sam's offers (Costco doesn't). However, I've never had to wait in line at Costco - they are quick and easy. What helps is the cashier scan's your items in the cart and you just walk out after paying.

BJ's is smaller than the other two, so I spend less than a hundred bucks there. They have many of the items you find in Costco and Sam's. Their baked goods are different and not as much variety (and taste is not as good). Prices are comparable unless you catch a sale. I went last week and they were out of stock for many of the sale items I wanted. I generally only go to BJ's for sale items IF I am in town and close to one. The nearest one to me is 1.5 hours, so it holds less value for me to stop in every week or two. For $20, it's not really a bad deal; I see it as a lukewarm deal. I certainly wouldn't pay anymore than $20 for an annual membership.

So of the three stores in my order of preference: Costco, Sam's, BJ's.

You forgot that you are allowed to print out and stack coupons online and within newspapers on top of BJs monthly booklets. They are the only club to do this.
I use to have all 3 BJ, Costco and Sams Club. No many Sam Club around me that's why I don't use them. BJ is the closest Costco in my county but hike to go there.

Electronic Items - More at Sams Club, Costco then BJs (weak)
Gas Savings - Sams Club - toss-up with Costco/BJs
Food Items - Sams Club - toss up with Costco/BJs

Cafe Deals -
Hot Dog - Costco $1.50
Pizza Best Taste is Sams Club then Costco (BJ doesn't offer this feature)

Becareful, they are not allow you to opt out renewal online. They automatically opt you in renewal which has no option to opt out online. I had to call them and wait nearly an hour to get an agent for opting out, very hassle.

I did a rough guestimate of my gas savings from BJs last ear, and I was saving around $270 per year in gas. I use premium in my cars.Of course, I am not driving as much this year. $25 is well worth it for me. I dont like the $50 renewal price Smilie. I only use BJs for gas.

One good thing about BJs is you can use manufacturers coupons along with store coupons.
I used to coupon the hell out of BJ's.... back when they were all paper - you could routinely get multiples of BJ's coupons on items each purchase.... buying diapers at half off kind of thing. Now they've gone all digital - but at least the good thing is that the coupons regenerate, so you can use them multiple times (until they expire); it's always been that way but you had to find multiple copies of the paper versions at least - now you just add them on the app.

AS far as comparing BJ's, Costco and Sam's, some articles attempt to do so but the general consensus is that BJ's is the cheapest [rd.com] (from an in-store purchase perspective, not counting mail order and other services like auto purchases etc). There are other differences though [clark.com]... Costco has the highest membership fee, followed by BJ's then Sam's, but BJ's arguably has the best awards program followed by Costco then Sam's - no limit on awards per year (Sams and Costco have limits), and redeemable in $10 increments (used to be $20).

Some information at those sites is incorrect; BJ's typically have optician (glasses) depts, for example.

As for me I am a Sam's member (only because it was free, but the nearest Sams is about 30 min drive and there are only 2 in the entire state) and a BJ's member. There is a Costco *nearby* although not as convenient for me. Meanwhile there are probably half a dozen BJ's in the state.

We do basically all our shopping @ BJ's and I have the top tier membership that gives us 5% awards. The card also gives us $0.10/gal off at their pumps (which is worth it right now as gas is currently $1.88, below the $2 BE point for 5% back rewards cards). I don't use the tire services, but I have used the optician to make adjustments to the kids glasses (we buy them online). I've never ordered anything online or for pickup from BJ's, so I can't comment on that.

what if you purchased a set of tires with your current membership?
If I get a new membership, how am I suppose to follow up with my previous purchase such as warranty?

Great deal! Updated my membership with new voucher. I prefer Sam's cuz mainly of Scan/Go, its proximity to Walmart Supercenter (right next door) and its lower prices compared to others (for kiwi, Costco is close to 2x price in NJ. WFH?).

I don't mind getting BJs as a backup for their gas and sometimes they have items that Sam's doesn't

How about this? $25 membership and $20 loaded for next six months. So, $120 savings spread in 6 months.

I bought new tires there and asked about getting rotations and such after my membership expired. They told me that, as long as I bought the tires there, I would still get the free services, such as rotation, whether I kept my membership or not. They didn't even ask for a card the last time I went in there to get a rotation, but I wonder if these policies vary from club to club.

Either way, I'd say you should be good to go, but a call to the tire guys wouldn't be a bad idea.

fine print is misleading:
*The first month's $10 Award will be added to the Primary Membership account after enrollment and must be used within thirty (30) days from the date of Membership enrollment. The following $10 Awards per month for months two through six will be added to the Primary Membership account at the beginning of each month and will expire at the end of each month in which they are issued. Awards which are not used by the end of the month in which they are issued will expire and any balance will be forfeited. This special Award offer is separate from the My BJ's Perks® Program and does not alter its terms.
**Offer is valid in-Club or online at BJs.com/Save150 only, may not be combined with other offers, not redeemable for cash, nontransferable and only good for new Members. Plus sales tax where applicable. Offer is contingent upon your enrolling in BJ's Easy Renewal, and you authorize BJ's to charge the debit/credit card first used at BJ's after accepting this offer, an annual recurring charge in the amount of the then-current Membership fee for all active Memberships on your account, plus tax where applicable, on the first day of the month your Membership expires. Offer not valid in the Chesterfield, MI; Madison Heights, MI; Taylor, MI; Pensacola, FL; Long Island City, NY; or Newburgh, NY, Clubs. Expires: 11/15/20.

(talks about $10 loaded per month = 60$)

No harm in signing up and then cancel if they do not honor! I already have membership so no go but sounds tempting.

Yeah it's odd - the $150 savings is supposed to be $30 in savings off membership (reg $55, sale for $25) and then 6, $20 monthly credits ($120) but the T&C read as $60 in total credits.

FWIW for members they recently (month or 2 ago) changed their rewards redemption policy such that rewards are now redeemable in increments of $10. It used to be $20. I am wondering if that's just a coincidence or if they forgot to change the verbage from $150 to $90.

Either way the membership will be more than free - either $30 MM or $90 MM.

Check this out:

https://www.bjs.com/content?templ...ite_Save90

That's the SAME page as the Save $150 except the math is correct.

So I am wondering if the Save $150 should really be Save $90.

Don't miss out on this special offer:
• Join now for only $25 (Reg. $55)
• Get $10 in cash Awards each month for 6 months loaded right to your Membership Card, ready to spend on whatever you want at BJ's*
• That's $90 in total savings!

Never been to BJ's. Are they as good as Costco or more like Sam's?
Absolutely. We go just for deli items and milk and eggs twice a month and save ~$15/month, and pick up a few sale items throughout the year. If it were more than 15mins away, we might not join, but it pays for itself quickly.
