I bought a Chefman and Gourmia 8 qt both. Both have terrible touch panels, but cook great. In fact, they're obviously the same unit with different touch panels.

My problem with the Gourmia is that the holes in the bottom plate are too large. If I try to cook fries, 10 or so end up on the bottom. This is an OK deal at best. The 8 qt was 49.

What was price at the store?
.$39.99 . Actually $39.99 + tax on $49.99. This is the way Costco calculate on instant rebate.

Got this last month when it was 49.99 already in warehouse. Will be going to customer service desk this weekend and ask for price match. Otherwise, just going to box it up, return, and rebuy.

It's good enough for the price compared to other brands that cost 2-3x. For $40, if it even lasts a couple of years before it needs to be replaced, still worth it.
They are pretty good about price adjustments now in my experience... I think they technically process a return and then a new purchase at the coupon price and viola 10 bucks back to you and no need to bring back the product.

I was always told that a toaster oven with convection was the same as an air fryer. NOT true, this air fryer cooks stuff like fries, chicken tenders, popcorn shrimp soooo much better than an oven even with convection. Not like a deep fryer tho, different but still good and crisply. I literally just bought this air fryer 2 days ago and have used it 5 times already, just make sure to wipe the tray and bin after every use, I could see gunk building up quick with a lot of use!

How easy is it to clean? Can someone comment on how this compares to a traditional curricular convection oven?

Just see customer service and tell them you bought it recently for more. They'll point you to the counter that does price adjustment (for my particular Costco, it's at the "cage" area where they keep all the expensive electronics and gift cards locked up). I did it multiple times and have never been given an issue or any questions.

I'd assume you're referring to the Ninja Foodi? Honestly, after our Gourmia (an older model than the one posted here) died right after the warranty expired for no reason one night, we looked around and checked reviews. We settled on the 8 qt Foodi and we've been pretty happy with it. Compared to the Gourmia, the Foodie handily beats the heat output/rentention and, hence, gives the food a crispier taste. Foodi is a LOT easier to clean, as our Gourmia basket design had slits that made it hard to dump out crumbs and such that falls down from the grilling surface (though it looks like this newer model's basket seem to have resolve that issue).

Obviously, the Gourmia wins on the price in a comparison, so I would just say that the Gourmia is a good unit for starters or folks who want to try air frying. But if you're looking to upgrade from a current air fryer, I would recommend looking into the Ninja Foodi.

Can't speak for the other person, but I've had mine for about a year and it's been great. My only complaint is the handle started coming apart after a few uses, but it hasn't affected performance. My model was different than this one though so hopefully they improved that area.

What so great about the Ninja foodie from your usage perspective? I hear the top is throws it off balance. Do you think it was worth it in counter real estate over another fryer/dehydrator exclusive device when one also has an oven/stovetop?
I really love my foodi. It takes some time to know how to use it correctly but it is a countertop space saver. I have not used the dehydrator yet. I mostly pressure cook and airfry in it, plus the occasional sauteing before pressure cooking. It is huge so make sure you have the space. The only thing I don't like is the airfryer lid cannot be removed like the pressure cook one so it just hangs open and in your way.

400 seems to be plenty hot. Works great for fries and the other things I've tried so far.
