I feel like the 6 tool kit is still the better value for home gamers looking for a starter kit. This is $30 more for 1 less tool and 1 worse battery. Everyone seems to write off the multi-tool but it's low-key very useful; just look up all the potential attachments to get an idea.
While brushless is nice, it's not a game changer for average use cases. The brushless line is meant to compete more with the contractor grade tools, and the price gap shrinks because of it.
You are likely gonna be wanting for a better battery for heavier tools as well. It's not just about battery life, Amps x Volts = Watts = Power. The way I see it, you'll eventually end up spending $300+ after you buy into this deal to compensate for what it's lacking upfront. There are so many good deals popping up in that price tier, and the return window is plenty long, so I'd hold out and see what else happens before jumping the gun on what basically amounts to a more expensive side-grade. Keep in mind that December has more sales too, and January leftovers are no slouch either.
I also needed to get into a cordless ecosystem and the ryobi tools have incredible variety and are cheap when you need to buy a tool you won't use a lot (I'm gonna buy their portable vacuum for quick pet cleaning). Maybe I'll upgrade later, but everyone I talk to who owns ryobi says great things. I'm not using these tools for my job, just projects and other sporadic use, so take that into account.
I honestly don't know what I'd use the multitool for just yet, and imagine I'll find a decent deal on one in the future so I'm not that worried about one less tool, so long as the brushless is worth it.

Honestly, if you are the type of person that requires brushless tools and are using them all the time, I don't know why you'd be buying Ryobi. You'd want a higher quality product made by Dewalt, Milwaukee, or similar quality brand.
There is nothing wrong with Ryobi for the weekender though, don't get me wrong. The price on this brushless set is really good too. It's not a bad buy, but I think there is more value in the $199 brushed set.
Do you have a circ saw in your current set? Does it run long enough for the tasks you currently do? Do you have a 2ah battery to test it out with?
If you have 2 batteries or more, you're probably good with whatever circ saw you choose....presuming you're not constant cutting.
Small batteries are nice too. I wouldn't just want large, heavy batteries for every task.

Honestly, I wouldn't worry. Pick up a set...try it out...and if something isn't good enough, return it. Ryobi is good. If you like the price, go for it.
