Amazon REFUSES to price match anything even TVs sadly. I tried 3 times to get them to match my LG 77" and they just kept saying "we will gladly refund you and come pick it up" they never said anything about charging return shipping. Such a stupid policy
I've always found this ridiculous. This is why I went for Costco since their deal had 90 day return and they do adjust the price I'd they get it lower

People say picture processing is a bit better on the Sony but the LG has gaming features for new console so it's more future proof Wirh 2.1 however banding color gradient and like color is a bit better on Sony
Does future proofing really matter with a tv? Not sure about LG but Samsung only supports software for their tv for like 3 years. Ive read a lot of mixed test reviews about the 2.1 ports. Some stating they aren't truly 2.1. I haven't done any extensive research to decide one way or another. Just done some minor reading.

With a tv you though you can buy another one and send the old one in providing you have room on your cc. One of the thread holes got screwed up. Possibly my fault but may have been that way. Anyway a bolt broke off so only hanging from 3 holes. Amazon already knows about it. I plan on sending my CX back. I bought mine on Prime Day when price was $2296. I'm just waiting to see if price goes down even more as we get closer to BF and 2021 tvs around the corner.

If you're into gaming then the CX is probably the better option. For movies, sports, etc most say the A8H is the slightly better option.
Why is the A8H better in those categories?

IMO Cash is ALWAYS better than a warranty. Here almost $150 is the no brainer, not the higher price + free warranty u will likely never use and a tv service u also may never use and can get free or highly discounted in manyother ways. Plus ur paying more tax on the costco deal too. Worse in all ways..

IF you even keep ur tv the full 5 years but in year 3 to 5 u are now insirimg an outdated tv worth alot less and thats what they will want fo give u, another old/outdated tv (esp squaretrade, i got to page 3 of reviews for that wareanty and almost ALL were 1 star reviews...)
I would typically agree, however, it also has a 100 dollars toward Hulu. So, that is contingent on you having Hulu - but if you do that narrows the difference. It's not cash in pocket, but it's money I was planning on spending already. Plus a longer warranty - and Costco television warranties I have used before after three years.

Both are close, IMO.

This tv at Amazon was ~$100 cheaper a few days ago. I had been watching it in my saved cart.

I could find a group share to lower the cost of Hulu to 1/4th easy. Meh.

Paying $4 for Netflix right now...

Damn, if I were able to buy a ps5 or xbox series x I would've jumped on this. Hopefully it'll be cheaper by the time I can get those. They jerked me on the pre orders.

I have had them price match plenty of items within a week or 2 of me buying. Ive been a Prime member from the beta days. Sometimes they just do it...sometimes I have to "threaten" to start shopping elsewhere. I place orders 3-5x a week...so maybe they dont want to lose an avid customer that's spending 8-10K a year on their site? I havent a clue, but it works.

I have the CX for several years now. I don't use LG's interface and its remote which has an on-screen pointer. Very cumbersome. But somehow the same app (like Netflix or HBO) produces better picture when using the build-in app from the TV vs connecting through an external player like Roku or Fire TV.

CX just came out late last year. Do you mean a different model?

Anyone know how to get the Xboom? I'm not seeing details or mentions on it anywhere.

EDIT: Found the Xboom:

Anyone hear about CX having issues with PS5 and the new XBox? I convinced a buddy to get an OLED and he sent me this article.
