I got one in a previous deal. I wouldn't recommend it as a portrait mode monitor.
The illumination is consistent across the horizontal but not across the vertical viewing angle. It's better than TN panels, but the vertical illumination consistency is inferior to other IPS or VA panels I've had. When setup in portrait mode, it's easy to see the brightness change across the image as you shift your head left and right.
It supports 75hz refresh rate at QHD, but no freesync.
Side by side, the 4K version is way better. Not just because of the resolution, but the QHD brightness is 250 cd/m² while the 4K is 350 cd/m². This one doesn't even feel like it has an IPS panel.
I bought it a couple weeks ago @ $179.99 and will be returning it by January 14th:
Holiday Returns: Any item purchased between October 1st and December 24th can be returned until January 14th, or as the policy allows (whichever is later).

Got this last time. Super happy with it. Just be warned I had to exchange for dead pixels and returns can only made via office Depot pick up from your house. (Can't return in store!) So my advice is buy two, make sure your screen is good and then return the other because the sale will probably be over/sold out
I bought these last time, and the colors looks really washed out, especially compared to my Dell U2417H monitors (1080p non-gaming). I returned these. Stand is not adjustable, but don't really expect at this price point and specs.

Would you recommend it as a horizontal monitor?
Rad, bought it. Reviews seem pretty good too

No that seems false. HDMI should go up to 1440
