Not sure what the expiration is for these but they won't last half a year at most from the bags I've looked at. The ones I've seen from stores like Walgreens and CVS expire as soon as January 2021.... makes me wonder if they've been storing the candy because I remember chocolate candy having a longer expiration date...
do you really care, its candy, and most of these things last years if stored half decently

Any tips?
I put some candy (Twix and M&Ms) in my fridge due it melting from summer heat and that candy lasted like... a year past expiration. I didn't really notice any change in taste and flavor, I would just let it hit room temp before eating it. I feel like this worked well for me.
I can't say the same about a Snickers bar I found in my work desk drawer. It expired back in Feb 2020 but I figured it would be fine since the office is climate controlled (even during COVID shut down). But it did not look right (chocolate had some whitening) and tasted bad. I still ate the whole thing though and felt fine.

I'd suggest googling Chocolate Bloom, if you want to know more about the white stuff. (Food science minor)
Spoiler alert: it's fine to eat.

When one user is shaming another for traveling science is out the window. It's a thread on candy, if another user travels, he travels, no need to shame him or her for it.
