ITT: people comparing no-name monitors to Dell UltraSharps...

This is a great deal.
Not only size difference but also they are in different line ups.

I have slightly older Dell U2417H, and bought the AOC last time. Colors were really washed away. I went back to my Dell which is smaller and 1080p. I'd only get the AOC if you were wanting a single monitor setup or on a budget.

There was a sale on AOC 27inch QHD monitor for $130 each at office depot which is way better than this deal. I heard office depot were restocking these at random times. I would check back throughout the day to see if they restocked: https://www.officedepot.com/a/pro...eals%20LLC

Yeah, that does look like a much better deal. Higher resolution and screen size. Both IPS and AOC has slightly higher Hz.

Make sure you get a docking station for dual display or buy displayport cables to enable MST (Daisy Chain) to avoid buying a docking station. But it only works for Windows.

I got two from Dell and Staples. U2419H (with HDMI) from DELL came with firmware ending 106 while staples U2419HX came with 105. And a monitor from DELL is Rev 09 while Staples is REV 08. Color seems different to me and sure in the calibration report says they are different.

Now it is $159.99. Would this be good for a teenager gaming. I can't afford a super fancy one but want to get him something better than what he has now. Is one HDMI enough?

Thank you.

Teenager wouldn't really be concerned about colors. This is more of a work monitor.
If you're gunning for something in the 150 dollar range, can probably find a decent 1080p 144hz monitor with even VRR for the smoothness.

Inputs would depend on if you're intending to slap something else on it besides a computer. A PC is typically DP/HDMI, if you were going to add a console there too consoles would be HDMI.
