I dunno, it's $190 regular price at Grainger [grainger.com]. Amazon msrp isn't too far off.

Except Grainger definitely isn't a place you'd go to expecting particularly low prices.

The highest Amazon has ever had them for is $149.46 and average is $121.04

I didn't say to buy it from there, just that ~$190 isn't deceptive for the list price.

Not that it matters much as I think purchasing decisions should be made based on the current low price compared to other sellers and/or recent sales, irregardless of what percentage of msrp it is.

The listing says this is made of aluminum. My smaller pliers wrenches are all steel. I'm assuming the listing is incorrect.

Looks like lots of these are selling new on ebay for $130-$140. Someone please tell me it's a good idea to buy this to complete my set.

That depends, will you be using them every day because you are in plumbing or gas? If yes get them and don't think about the cost. A typical homeowner who will use them maybe 2 times in 5 years get the cheapest set you can get.

I had this in my cart and when looking at the cart I said the price had dropped to $55! I immediately purchased. Amazon says I will have it on dec 3.
