I agree that this is a good starter set but I would recommend getting a bigger battery pack when the batteries go on sale. I have the circular saw and it runs much better on the 4AH battery versus the 1.5AH.

Unless you plan on needing to make very rough cuts/demolition work, I would avoid bundles that include a reciprocating saw for a beginning DIYer or woodworker, and instead opt for a more precision saw like circular, jigsaw, or miter saw.

For demolition work isn't a reciprocating saw much more useful? It's faster than a jigsaw and you can start cuts deeper and easier than a circular saw

Yes, sorry if my wording was poor. Don't buy a reciprocating saw, UNLESS you need to do demolition work. But the average DIY/homeowner/woodworker is focused on building things, not taking them apart.
