I was looking to buy an iPhone SE and almost bought it from Costco at their sale price right now of $369. Luckily, I didn't and decided to check to see if Tracfone sold it on their own website. I'm already a Tracfone customer BTW. I saw that they were selling it for $349, but you also had to buy either a 2gb or 3gb 30day plan with it, at a cost of $25 or $30. Not a big deal. I'd be paying about as much as Costco and I would still get a bit of extra data and 30 extra days kicked in. Then for some reason I did a google search of the iPhone with Tracfone and I found a website that listed a discount code good for 25% off the phone when buying it with a plan. Bingo! Here are the numbers:
349.99 + 25(2gb plan) - 87.50(25% of 350) = 287.50 and add applicable tax. Free fedex shipping. My total came out to 314.48 for NYC.
The code is NOV25 May be one time use because I tried it again just to see what would happen and a message said that the code was not available at this time. Supposedly expires Nov 21st. BTW, a phone bought thru Tracfone is locked to Tracfone for 1 year.
11/13,
Got the phone 2 days later and just activated the new sim within minutes.
All you need to do is type in the IMEI number and choose to keep the old phone number.
Once the new sim is activated, you immediately start your $25/$30 unlimited text/talk plan and the old annual plan from ebay pauses and will be reserved until the one month plan ends and all remaining minutes/data should be there.

I chatted and the answer is yes. Bought two. thx for the posting.
Thank you, I was able to replicate the deal. I am already on one year plan until 5/2021, will I be able to add this 1 month plan after that. Also, do I need to transfer the existing number while activating this new phone.
Im typing on my new se from last week same
Deal... I had an old se and battery life was sucking but just bought the $30 1 year card eBay deal so doing this deal with the $30 plan and combining netted me 6gb and unlimited talk and text for over a year at which point I can unlock... r a k U t e n gets you $30 also so be sure and use it..
I am using tracfone prepaid right now and wondering how this works?
Activate the new phone with the 2gb plan and a new phone number, then after a month, simply switch the SIM card to the existing prepaid sim?
or just simply use the phone with existing prepaid sim without activating the 2gb plan at all?
thx

The customer service suggested me to activate with the new sim and choose the option "transfer existing number" and i will be able to transfer the number and service to the new phone.
I guess it's OK if you use Tracfone anyway... not sure it would be worth it to buy then unlock, like use a SIM from one of those HSM deals or something & wait a year...
How is this a deal when there is an ATT prepaid deal for $200 (if you can get it) or $250 outright?
Nobody could get it. Out of curiosity I immediately looked at the local 15 walmarts (brick) and it was sold out everywhere as soon as it was posted on slickdeals. Sometimes you have a better chance to win the Powerball lottery than score some of the walmart deals.
Oddly you can buy it online for $249 with free delivery but none of the stores have it available to get that $149 offer with $50 service. There is 1 store out of 15 stores that is supposedly having 6 available but it is 40 miles away. No way worth the drive and it is still a measly 4.7" screen.
Thanks for pointing me towards the -25% promo code. Now able to upgrade my older iPhone, that I've been successfully using w/ Tracfone for several years. 11% cb was just icing on the cake.

It was readily available for 250. It was just not possible to get it for the 150+50 service.
Seems good if you are on Tracfone and want to keep it. Personally, I'd rather do the Red Pocket deal they always have on their website. $324 for iPhone SE plus $14/mo. for 12 months with 3 GB/month, it's <$500 for phone and plan for a year, taxes included.
With Tracfone, even doing the Amazon deal for the service, it's $287+tax for phone and $17/mo. for only 1 GB/month. So a little more money and much less data.
I'm waiting for BF to see what Red Pocket or Visible offer.
