They will not open a factory sealed box when you return it-They only open and inspect/check serial numbers on open box returns. They can resell a factory sealed product. If you go to any Costco 30 days after the purchase, they are not allowed to issue a price adjustment. They will however recommend rebuying at the reduced price and returning it on the original receipt. I'm not just making this up. They've made this recommendation to me and other people I know.

LG has edge lighting, Vizio full array.

LG is IPS, Vizio is VA

Vizio has HDR10+, LG does not.

LG has their proprietary NanoCell, Vizio has Quantum Dot, which apparently is better.

LG has 1 year manufacturer warranty. Vizio (if bought at Costco) has 3 year manufacturer warranty.

I bought and returned a surround sound system from Costco recently. They opened the box, made sure each part was in the box and they typed in the model or serial # from the soundbar. After that, I would not personally do what you stated.

Following as I am currently in the exact same market as you right now with that H8G being my number one too. Still kicking myself in the ass for not jumping on that when it was $399 a couple weeks ago Angry I'm still holding out hope that it drops again....or I may just be spending $30 extra dollars...

This Vizio may be too nice of a deal to pass up tho!

Bought this TV from Costco during prime day and I love it. Amazing for gaming. Rtings gives it some awesome ratings there as well. Excited to play Demon's Souls on it!! Big Grin

also will costco price match? like can I go in and be like "hey I just bought this about a month ago, can you pay me the difference?" it's $50 cheaper with this deal

Costco will not price match after 30 days.
Many people have suggested before to buy at lower price (don't open it) and return the unopened with the higher price receipt.
I am not saying you do that but that is what many people have posted before in the Sony deal.

I'm in the same boat - want a legitimate 50" tv sub $500 and those 3 are the best according to rtings.

I will say I've read a lot of reviews on all of them and a common complaint is panel quality. Everyone seems to love the tv as long as it's working (or if it works out of the box), which isn't always.

The fact this is at Costco (for warranty) and $100 cheaper than the others makes the Vizio a no brainer (as long as the others don't come down in price before 11/30).

OP, Why is this better deal than the Walmart one? I'm in the market for a 65 and above TV, I missed the TCL 65 Target deal. I'm not sure why you didn't consider that since your budget is higher than $225

I just returned this one after buying it to take advantage of the Cyber Monday price. Seems like a solid TV, but I wanted something I could take outside on occasion and it just wasn't bright enough. Apparently the 50 inch version is not the same spec-wise as the larger models. I've got a Hisense H8G scheduled to arrive on Monday from Amazon so I'll give that a shot.

For an indoor TV this would be a great choice at $300. I swear my ad said $329 on Cyber Monday, must be regional? Can't compare it to the other two (yet), but like others have pointed out, between the price and the warranty that would offset any minor pq differences.

They don't price match holiday deals.

This deal is better than the Walmart one. Vizio M506x-H9 for $298. Walmart one has a thicker bezel than the Costco one. Costco has 2 yr warranty
