Would like to see actual reviews first. Im curious to see how well third party apps/games run on this thing. I know apples own apps runs well and battery life is insane
I just bought the older model for 1100 from Costco on the last sale. Worth returning to get this?
IMO, yes. Unless you need Bootcamp (dual boot windows 10). The preliminary CPU reviews say this will blow almost anything out of the water: https://www.macrumors.com/2020/11...benchmark/
I am sorry to say this but your best source is macrumors . I mean the entire site dedicated to one company and you take thier word for it ? kinda the reminds of me someone. folks.. I am the smartest person alive and you can't see my grades. I am the rich but you cannot see my tax returns. etc.

Lol, not even close man. But whatever makes you feel better. CPU benchmark isn't being run by some Apple software. But I don't think any sort of facts or data will change your mind.
Going to be a while until software is optimized for the new chip. But Intel just cant keep up anymore. They used to be king.
Apple like amd designs these and sources them to foundries in asia
the price point on this is steep for the other specs, small ssd and ram neither can be upgraded. in the pc world 8gb and 256gb would be barely entry for a low end system.

reviews as far as CPU goes, looks to blow most things out of the water.

Should probably read the article first.

One of the direct comparisons was with 8th Gen i3 processor in the previous Mac Mini. They have mentioned upto 3 times faster than 8th Gen i3.
It puts in the ball park of 10th Gen i7-10710u. Around 25% faster than SD865.
No I don't think Apple will blow anything out if water.
