More unlikely things than this have happened. I don't really though since it's free. I will push hard to get the $45 refund from Discover if it doesn't show up since they targeted me and I activated the offer.

Got the email. Signed up with the $45 free offer. Went to Sam's Club yesterday, spent $50 and $45 was automatically taken off...Now it's a waiting game to see if discover credits my account the $45.
