Purchase Pixel or Samsung 5G phones through Google Fi website and get a high trade-in value for your old Samsung/Apple Phones.
You can essentially exchange your old Samsung S8/S9 phone for Pixel 4a at no cost.
Trade-in Values:
S7 - $275
S8/S8+/S9/Note 8 - $350
S9+ - 375
Note 9 - $450
S10/Note 10/Note10+/S10E/S10+ - $500
Now might be a good time to get rid of your old phones for good value.

Reasons: Not Factory Reset (yes it was because i had to google how to reset it!) and not correctly listed device. Well weird since i have the receipt from when i bought the phone i was trading in from amazon and its exactly as listed in the estimated value email from google fi. That and the fact the phone said right on the back... s9.
I can only assume since I checked "other" as provider. It was an unlocked phone from amazon.
I traded in an S8+ and got my full credit and the $200. I don't know if it's advisable to sell the 4a without having it on the service for the full 60 days.
If I am wrong then that's good but a lot of people might be on the hook for $200.
For example when I go there it says "Keep device active on Fi for 33 more days".

I reached out to customer support to point out that my "reported condition" of the phone was the exact same as their "received condition" of the phone, so they made the adjustment back to the quoted amount.
A customer support rep also reiterated to me that all phones our based from Google Fi are unlocked, but I haven't opened the phone yet so I can't confirm this yet.
The CSR just keeps repeating like a parrot that they won't send my phone back.
Can I appeal this somehow? It's a $260 deficit. I'm ready to pay that and more out of principle. This is business malpractice IMO.

Chat support was not very helpful. said that a specialist will reach out by email within 48 hours. Terrible experience. As soon as this is sorted out I'm switching to literally any other provider.
