And just to confirm, I had called the CSR after opening the account and they had confirmed that I used the promo code.

This is what my confirmation screen looked like. No mention of the promotion.
I applied through the bonus400 link yesterday, made a deposit from another account, and didn't see a place for the promo code. I called CSR today and they said the promo was applied to my account.
They do not add the promo for you. Seems that they are instructed to say "once you finish your deposit we can review and will see if we can give you an exception"

Further, they will try to get you to apply and use their other products and services. Large Corp spend tons of money on advertising, this is just another venue.

Well your second one got promo code entered. But you are ineligible because you already had the same product (that's written and said by rep)
For me, $400 is a definitely worth the hassle, imma put in there 2 x 1k from my stock trading acct, and changed my work DD as well to be safe. Then leave 2k sit there til receive that Cha Ching to be safe...$400 return on 2k investment is still out of this world boys...

Should be able to get the $400 on each account, but time will tell...
