My advice is not bad advice, I have seen companies use similar tactics over the years to take advantage of many SD'ers

ahh i see. Chase did that for me before. Seems like Capital One isn't as helpful as Chase.
Chase was the 1st one if I am not mistaken on opening bonus. They were selling mostly CC, which got me "hooked". One can redeem freedom card using 20k pts for $250 cash, then they stopped.
But I moved onto the airline and got countless free travel perks for FREE.
I do not mind getting this for 2021/1099 as I already cashed in close to $1k this yr on act open/1099 lol

sure, but contacting CS for a possible fix has always been YMMV, so generalizing the potential response especially when the company is different, IS bad advice.
With the SD effect they are looking at hundreds of thousands of dollars (if not millions) in payouts. If you think anything otherwise then you are naive and haven't spent enough time on this site participating in the various deals.

Technically, it can be anytime from when you are done with your DD's until March 31, 2021. Typically it takes a few weeks after you did them, but it's up to Capital One. They certainly can drag it out longer if they want all the way to March, 2021.
