There is no situation where paying taxes on this ends up costing you money
If you make 10k, take home 9k (10%)
20k take home 18k. (10%)
30k you have 20k at 10% or 18k. And you have 10k at 20% or 8k. Total being 26k.
The only exception of when making more money hurts you is when you stop qualifying for some government benefits that don't phase out gradually. Like Medicaid in some states. Otherwise making more $ is always helpful.

Paying tax is what kills it, for me. When you get a credit card sign on bonus, you don't get hit with the 1099.

so i called capital 1 and they said i didn't enter my code but said to call back Feb 2, 2021 to get my bonus if i meet the requirement. he also said you can transfer your money out once you meet the requirement
Also on the last funding page enter the promo code and then do submit.
