I have a capitolone CC and I have a $250 offer (spending not deposit) for opening a 360 checking listed but no $400 bonus advertised.
The only mistake is people assuming that their "ACH" transfer will qualify just because it says ACH. New data points would be helpful, not ones from three years ago.

Is Chase an outside institution? Yes
Then your Chase transfer will qualify.

This means all ACH credit from outside qualifies, it could be payroll, etc, but it doesn't have to be.
ACH credit is one that takes 1-2 business day to post, that does not make use your debit card number. It is as simple as that.

All electronic transfers from any outside institutions are coded the same way. It makes no difference in their computer if your transaction is payroll, government benefits, tax refunds, brokerage transfer, personal transfer, etc.
Instant P2P transfers (like Zelle) won't qualify.
Instant transfers using your debit card number won't qualify.
ATM, branch, wire transfers, check deposits, etc, won't qualify.
Any other instant deposits won't qualify
Cash App and PayPal offer standard deposits to your bank account and Instant Deposits to your linked debit card. Standard deposits will qualify but instant deposits will not.
All other transactions that takes 1-2 days to deposit to your account will qualify, such as PayPal and External bank transfer. People think this is too good to be true, and try to convince themself that Cap1 won't pay out the bonus that easily. Well, Cap1 also wants you to think that way, because they want you to use them for payroll and government benefits, but this does not mean those are the only transactions that qualify.
Also, the name of the transaction and the memo does not matter, and whether or not the name or memo includes the word ACH or P2P does not make any difference. It's just a name or a memo that the institution that initiated the transaction made up - it doesn't affect how the transactions are coded.
All electronic transfers that take 1-2 days to process (with the exceptions I listed above) are coded the same way.
In fact Doctor of Credit was the culprit in causing all these confusions. They think they would be helpful in compiling a huge list of transactions of what they believe would and would not qualify, but they only caused more confusions.
