And just to confirm, I had called the CSR after opening the account and they had confirmed that I used the promo code.

There has been an increase in bank defaults, and none of them will tell you. They may start implementing odd rules to overcome internal issues, such as a ridiculous fee for a cashier's check from a large customer.
Anyways, I withdrew about 90% of my $ (way above FDIC limits), and now am going to get 400 dollars for 1000 in dd. It's a great deal, but just be very cautious regarding maintaining substantial sums, not because of an egregious 10 dollar fee, but a 10 dollar fee to acquire on demand funds.
The 400 deal is amazing though.
Cashier's checks are not free for most banks unless you belong to a higher tier. The cashier's check fee is listed in the terms you agreed to when the account was opened.
Also, is it possible to call Customer Service to have them review the transfer and see if it's a qualifying transfer?
I've done 18 bank bonus deals successfully since February so I guess I'll have to slow down a little.
I might try the Comerica $200 Bonus [comerica.com] deal though.
I didnt add the promo code, when I call them they say it's not on the account and that after i meet the reqs, they might be able to make an exception but can't guarantee it.
Should I close the account and make a new one?
Any recommendations? Greatly appreciated. thanks

Will there be something else if an Electronic Transfer is somehow incorrect? Because the initial transfer of money from my credit union into this account shows as Electronic Transfer as well.
I can't remember during my application process whether it took or not. Thanks.

We hit a snag.
Looks like we ran into a technical issue. Sorry about that. Please restart the application.

Called, CSR got me unlocked, finished application with the BONUS400 code reminders everywhere. Did not make initial transfer.
Did it work immediately or did you have to wait awhile?
When you apply for a new bank account some banks check your Early Warning File Disclosure to see how many bank accounts you've opened and what type of banking transactions you have done. The more bank accounts you open and close over the years helps them decide if they want you as a customer. If they feel you are someone who just opens the account to get a bonus and then closes it, they don't want you as a customer.
