Black Friday saving of $40 drops this from $149.99 to $109.99. With code
271096 271099 you can save an additional $20 on a $100 purchase dropping this to $89.99 before tax. If you have a local store you can pick it up for free otherwise pay for shipping.
This model hovers around $139 and $109 is a decent deal but with the extra $20 off this is a steal. You are getting the "Big Buddy" for nearly the price of the smaller 9,000 BTU Mr. Heater.
These things are awesome for ice fishing. I picked one up and you should too!

p.s. and thanks, that screen name gets me some HATE on here lol
Few points from my personal experience
- Running it on 2 x 1lb tanks is NOT 1-3 hours as mentioned before it's closer to 3-12hours according to the spec sheet .. My experience has been it hits about 90% of that advertised number, I've had it on low in a cabin before and woke up and it was still running 8 hours later.
- The 20lb tank hose attachment works great, get this if you plan on using it to heat a garage, also plan on turning on a fan to help circulate the heat. I have a semi detached three car garage and it will raise the temp from 35 to 50 within about an hour on high give or take with a shop fan helping to circulate the air. ( yes I know you northerners would be out there in a t shirt and no socks at 35 yeah yeah )
- Sometimes getting the pilot light to fire up takes a bit, esp with new tanks attached, be patient.
- The tip sensor is very sensitive, it's like playing the game operation to pick it up and move it with it staying on ( which I guess is a good thing lol )
- If you are using 1lb tanks, refill them with a 20lb tank save yourself some $$.
- This does NOT put off as much heat as my ryobi tube style single canister heater, kerosene heaters, or the big saucer shaped patio heaters. Have reasonable expectations think lower heat over longer period of time.

Probably depends on how big and how much you need to warm it. The ones that hang from the ceiling have more BTUs if you are looking to keep it a specific temp.
I agree the extension hose is nice, my dad has that for his. I plan to watch for a deal on the hose. The 20 lb tanks save money over time.
Same question here, trying to use this on my large outdoor balcony
On high, it'll heat a pretty decent sized garage. 18,000 BTU'S is no joke. I play music in my garage in the dead of winter and I keep it on medium as I have a one car garage. Plus it's totally off grid, the fan runs on D batteries, but I modded mine to use any usb power brick for HOURS of runtime. Seriously this thing rules.

I'd say no. This is meant to be a radiant heat that fills a room. the fan is too weak for outdoor heating.
Really thinking of picking this Big Buddy heater up as a backup if the smaller Buddy fails.
BTW: Awesome screen name "Trump4Prison2020"

I have 2 and a sleep like a baby knowing this lol, but I live in a deep cold area that loses power a lot. Have you looked into converting the 4x D batteries into a USB battery? Took me about 15 min start to finish. It's on YouTube.
