I own the Coleman version of this and live in Colorado it raised the electric bill between 15 to 25 bucks a month, also i would not recommend using it during the months of January to March, They are really easy to take down and put back out they take about 24 hours to heat up. They are very good alternative and less expensive to permanent hot tubs. I really enjoy it and have had my Coleman now for almost 4 years.
It works great for the money, never had a puncture, increase of $20 a month in my power bill (Georgia winters). Take the time to get it perfectly level, do not put it on your deck unless you are absolutely sure it was built for that much weight.
I have the camo version (different brand), it stores up small enough to fit in a large closet or shed. I used two inch foam board under it for a softer feel on the bottom, and for better insulation in the winter months. No issue with concrete if you go this route. You can cut the foam board to shape as well.

Recommendations on chemicals? This is my first go at any hot tub upkeep.

Mine gets delivered today. Anyone have tips on how they did their foam insulation on the ground? I saw a reference earlier to a 4x8 2" sheet. I was going to grab one at HD today. I'm assuming just cut 2' from the 8' side to make it 6'6 and then shave off the corners? If anyone else has any other tips- inflating (built-in pump vs external), heating, chemicals, etc I'd love to hear them. I've read all the comments in this thread and others, just looking to minimize costs and time. Looking forward to it!

I didn't do any foam insulation, have mine sitting on a deck. The built in pump is fine and works quickly. It actually says not to use an external pump. I mentioned a couple of ways to put warm water in the when you fill it, otherwise you're looking at 24 hours at least to get it to max temp.

I would also love some recommendations on chemicals.

I've been pretty bitter about Walmart canceling my order. But I found and bought this deal with a smaller footprint, better sides, bigger capacity, more jets and even jets in the middle of the tub - https://slickdeals.net/share/iphone_app/t/14653166

Could you elaborate on why you recommend taking it down during those months in particular? March threw me for a loop. Excessive rain?
I live in Colorado and you could maybe get away with it if it's on the south side of your house with a covered patio . But we get alot of cold and snow through May and temps at night are always under 15-25 degrees

Kept waiting for a cancellation email based on responses here but sure enough I picked mine up today, a day earlier than expected. Have not set it up yet nor do I have chemicals but FYI for those without larger trunk or door openings, I had to take the box apart for it to fit in my car. Luckily there are 2 smaller easy to carry boxes inside the large box as well as the cover in a plastic wrap.

I got the 2" thick 4x8' foamular from homedepot and will cut it to be 6x6. Then either cover that in 2 tarps tip and bottom or plastic sheeting.

For chemicals I went to the local pool shop and the lady said I only need bromine tablets, ph up, test strips and alkalinity increaser.

Success! Both hot tubs switched to ready for pickup, a day early. Fit both in the back of my Honda CRV with the seats down. My brother is going to shit his pants when he gets this on Christmas (hopefully not in the hot tub).

Along with the chemicals, I ordered a chinesium 1080p projector on sale on amazon. Going to have this in the garage, project movies and shows with chromecast on the wall while in it. Can't wait.

A tip about chemicals, been doing a lot of research on this (but no prior experience). I've found that you can use baking soda for ph/akilinity up and white vinegar for ph down. You can get a huge bag of baking soda at sams club or bjs, and I think they have white vinegar too. Just make sure you don't get cleaning white vinegar, it has surfactants (soap) in it. You want the kind for cooking. Be sure to get some test strips so you're not just guessing at it.

Just got mine today. Does anyone know where I can get the Energy Sense liner? I don't see it as an option on their website.

I bought this insulated ice fishing shelter from Dicks today. I am in Michigan so it gets cold. Hopefully the hot tub fits and i can add foam to the bottom and maybe led lights for atmosphere.

One tip I learned from watching youtube videos on these: if you lose power, then try to turn the pump or filter back on, you may get an error code (I think its 90.) Everyone complains about this, as its a frequent issue, and the hot tub will not work until you clear that code. The instructions in the manual for it are crap.

Some guy figured out that if you unplug it and plug it back in, that wipes the code. Then, instead of running the pump or filter, as soon as you turn it on, run the bubble jets for about 2-3 min. That seems to fix the problem. I suspect that when the power is out, maybe some back flow happens, or a sensor doesn't get set back properly, and the air running through the pump normalizes the system again. No personal experience with this, just found it on youtube, but hopefully that helps someone.

Brilliant! Report back to the fit and how well it functions to insulate. I was thinking about doing something similar DIY, but this is tempting and ready to go.
