I own the Coleman version of this and live in Colorado it raised the electric bill between 15 to 25 bucks a month, also i would not recommend using it during the months of January to March, They are really easy to take down and put back out they take about 24 hours to heat up. They are very good alternative and less expensive to permanent hot tubs. I really enjoy it and have had my Coleman now for almost 4 years.

It works great for the money, never had a puncture, increase of $20 a month in my power bill (Georgia winters). Take the time to get it perfectly level, do not put it on your deck unless you are absolutely sure it was built for that much weight.

I have the camo version (different brand), it stores up small enough to fit in a large closet or shed. I used two inch foam board under it for a softer feel on the bottom, and for better insulation in the winter months. No issue with concrete if you go this route. You can cut the foam board to shape as well.

Whats the footprint of the spa? I ordered some foam mats on Amazon i think 24sq for 19.99 but maybe these hf ones are cheaper? Did you need all 4 sets?

I got a cheap tent to place on concrete. was rhinkjng tarp on bottom, tent, then maybe tarp inside tent,, foam mats on top, then spa on top of foam. not sure if i need the tarp inside tent but probably? Thanks

The footprint is 71-72 inches diameter across
I wanted to try something stronger, thicker and more insulating on top of concrete than the foam gym style mats.
So I bought a 1 inch thick rigid foam board from Lowe's ($20 bucks)
Cut a 12x48 inch piece off each end and then duct taped each one to opposite sides longwise on center.
Now it can be folded like wings and be stored upright too. When it gets warm again I'll trim the foam to match the circular shape of the spa for the bottom.

I may try and make another one for under the spa cover but on top of the insulating pillow they sent, just to help keep some more heat inside the top.
Also seen people wrap the outside all the way around with Reflextic bubble insulation foam for better heat retention. (24"x120" - need two rolls)

(Attached sketch of dimensions and picture of foam board)

I would have needed three sets for just the hottub. I wanted to cover the whole shelter floor which is 91x91. Another thing i like about having the hf mats is the cracks allow for overflow from the hot tub to go somewhere besides sit on top of a less porous surface.

I wouldnt even worry about the tarp. I would just spend the extra few dollars on more mats to layer the whole floor. My set up is on a concrete patio also.

I just added a inkbird thermometer that was on sle last night to be able remotely check temp when i am in the house (bluetooth range)

there's no way 4 adults would fit in this unless you like playing footsie with your neighbor's wife. Intrigued by the price but I didn't love the experience I had.
So I guess the neighbor's wife wasn't into it, then?

How do you add chemicals? I bought a 40lb bucket of the 3in chlorox tabs from Costco, but never used them. I was trying to figure out correct dosing, I suppose I could break them in quarters but how do I add it to the water? Just throw it in? I don't have a float, but if thats what I'm supposed to use anyone got a link or suggestions?

These come with a container that opens for the tabs and then connects to the tub. Or are you wanting something different? You would have to break apart the 3 inch ones though

The thing above the one with the filter: https://www.youtube.com/watch?app...UyyrRxwTMU

You will definitely want smaller tablets. You want something like this: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Clorox-S...e/50333081. Even 1in tabs are a bit large for our chem dispenser.

Also, many people prefer bromine over chlorine for hot tubs. Finally, you should at least get an oxidizer (aka "shock") as well. I use a non-chlorinating shock.

The brominating tabs stay consistently in the tub in the chem dispenser (though I remove the dispenser when I bathe). The shock you sprinkle directly in the water either after you use the tub or at least once a week.

So everyone out there - new or old - inflatable hot tub owners?

Where's everyone going to see tips, tricks, ideas, etc. on the web?

FB group? another message forum? etc. Thanks for any help or info.

Great question. What is our plan? Is this it, the point where we all say goodbye and good luck? Do we move elsewhere, if so where?

It's been great learning and tubbing regardless of what happens. Stay warm sheeple. Applause

Anybody place in walk out basement? I live in georgia where we still experience a chilly winter and don't want to waste electricity and wear out the heater on this.

I'm thinking to crack open a window or two when the cover isn't on should be good enough. I have methods to safely transporting the water and my basement is unfinished.

Hey for all of you that got this product back during the holidays if you're still reading this... How often should you change out the water? Every 3 months? Can't find a definitive answer.

I think the recommendation is 3 months, but it's definitely based more on your usage and chemical levels.

We've been using ours almost everyday for 10 weeks now and the first 3 weeks levels got off so we drained and refilled.
Now after the past 7 weeks levels are good and water still clear. Good Luck! Smilie

South Central PA - added approx. $25 a month to our electric bill - so I figure about a dollar a day to run including chem.

Quick question to see if anyone else has run into this. I need to deflate and put away the hot tub for a while. When I drained all the water out of the bottom valve, I still hear and have water inside of the inflatable part of the hot tub. Anybody know how to get that out?
