It'll start resurfacing and making a huge mess that'll be a whole lot of work to clean up. Its trashed my whole yard pretty much.

If you get this change the seller to 'Doubtless Bay'. Coupon doesn't work with the other seller (which was default for me)

I never would have guessed, but you are right! Previous owners of my house used it extensively. I dunno how long it's been there, but bits and pieces have worked their way up everywhere! Not in some disintegrating kind a way, but edges and bunched areas visible....AND weeds still grow through it regularly! Removing it isn't that bad, but it's still some work. I think a deep mulch layer is a better way to go over using something like this and just enough dirt and mulch or whatever to cover it

Woven doesn't seem to be the best choice for weed guard. Nonwoven / non perforated seems to be the better choices. I bought this for use behind wire mesh for air supply for compost cages.

I recommend you don't buy this. It's made of woven polypropylene, and as others said, it'll make your life difficult in the future for the reasons mentioned above. Any type of plastic landscape fabric will be awful to deal with. The previous homeowners of my house used thick non-woven plastic sheets under the mulch, and it was just as bad. Just put down a thick layer of mulch/gravel without landscape fabric and just deal with the occasional weeds. With mulch, for added protection you might want to put a layer of gravel down first, and then the mulch.

Yeah, I do not recommend this. Gravel/mulch works pretty good, bit we also use cardboard and sometimes newspapers, but not all plants like ink.

I use this type of weed barrier between the rows in my vegetable and herb gardens to keep weeds down, and it's ideal for that application. It handles foot traffic well, and I can even drag buckets down it without it ripping. This is a great price for it, in for 3!

Do not get woven. Not only does it clog and not let water through, it shreds and makes a mess.

Maybe my application is different but I've had this for 2 years now under mulch and it has controlled the weeds. The other lighter weight cloth-like landscape fabric did very little, weeds would grow into and through that stuff, this tougher heavier stuff seems to work better. Can't speak for 10 years out.

Will this kill mint? Bought a house with mint and they're spreading like cancer.
