Can't do that. They specifically say it
I think he meant if you and someone else book as 2 names, then split the cost on the side, and take turns going for 90 days each.

Another concern is the time zone. There is no traffic, no noise at all and the huts are close to each other. Im sure the whole island will hear me talking over zoom in the middle of the night

Warning: COVID-19 risk in Maldives is high. CDC recommends travelers avoid all nonessential international travel to Maldives.

Not that it really matters... right? :s

They do have an extremism problem
Didn't realize this. Maldives has never been on my radar to explore traveling there. But after looking into the situation it's a hard pass. It's a religious state that requires citizens to be Muslim and the government there coddles extremist groups. Human Rights Watch says these groups have links to prominent politicians, and have assaulted and murdered people with impunity.

If I go I need two huts. If I go ill use the Maldives as a staging point to see Africa. 2 huts is cheaper than what I pay monthly for mortgage

I took a 40 day vacation to Jamaica and it does get kind of boring. I arrived, enjoyed the beach and scouted the area. The second week I got to know locals, met with Americans living there full time, and got quite comfortable living like I was from there.

Week 3, I was back to day trading stocks during the day, enjoying night life, played golf, scuba, and hiked on the weekend.

Week 4 was very similar, internet was great, began fishing with locals for next to nothing, hired a house keeper/chef, and bought a scooter. (terrible idea)

Week 5 I was basically a local, knew people, enjoyed the same places, and met with lots of tourists.

Week 6 I contemplated extending my stay. If internet was better, the roads were better, and if I didn't have personal issues at home I would have.

Total cost was under 10k for everything. (airfare, food, transportation, outings, etc. (House I stayed in was free, however, I did tip the person $4,000 for the use of the house as it was very nice and his personal residence.)
$4000 tip Embarrassment. Another reason why ROW hates us. Those hosts get spoiled and start treating others like shit.

More like this:
Tourist visa issued on arrival for 30 days' time is absolutely free of charge, but a fee of INR 3350 (or MVR 750) is to be paid in case of extension of visa for a total duration of 90 days.
