I'd bite for a year, but I'm disabled and require medical, care every thirty days. I don't think I'd have access to what I require on those itty bitty islands. BTW when's monsoon season?
Prob with vacations is eventually they get boring as fack and u just wanna get back into the 8hr job grind and dealing with family and crap.
I took a 4 week vacation last year to Fiji Islands and literally lived in Paradise for a month. 1st week was like living in heaven. 2nd week started to get boring and even lying on the beach after sipping your 4th cocktail at 10am starts to rub off. 3rd week, u run out of things to do and your mind starts wandering all over the place. Now u start thinking of work, Netflix, what show Amazon Prime has, etc..and friends and the comfort of your own house/bed.
4th week....u start counting the hours when u are back in your own house and talking to friends/families and waiting for your homies to stop by so yall can finish that bottle of Scotch.
I'll second this. I've been on a few month-long trips, and it does start to wear on you to the point where you need a break from the vacation. You might think that a long vacation that keeps you active (vs. just hanging out in one place) would be better, but they aren't - being constantly on the go wears you out too - you might not be bored, but you'll be tired, and just wishing for your own bed and some consistent familiarity. Even when I travel for work for more than a couple weeks, I get tired of the hotel, eating out every day, etc. It may sound hard to believe for people that have never experienced it but it's true.
$4000 tip . Another reason why ROW hates us. Those hosts get spoiled and start treating others like shit.
The persons house is only used by friends and family members when he is not there. He is a close personal friend who asked not to be paid. I had access to his very nice beachfront house, his car, his boat, and all his misc. items in the house.
Bought 10 of them for my adult children and their spouses. I also made reservations for their airfare. S0 the total (inc airfare) comes to only came to $330,000! What a slick deal! What a way to get rid of the kids!
I wonder for someone who has spare 30,000 to spend on such a deal, why would that person be a slickdealer? This should be posted in some richdeal website!
I think I've saved enough from slickdealing to go lol

Honestly if you've got $30k to blow, you can go somewhere in Mexico or Thailand or the like and get a REALLY nice place for $1k/mo (or a nice place for $300-500/mo), get 9 month visas and live much cheaper and have an option for longer visas without having to do 30d visas back and forth to the other side of the planet. Plus cost of living is going to be much cheaper, with no limit on how many people can stay in your residence.
I think part of the experience is being able to stay on a bungalow over the water. Where would you find that deal? If there is any lmk

I figured a beachfront house, a rental car, and a boat rental was well over 4k.
