Is there a way to combine 10-11 gc's with edu pricing?
Yep, from the Wiki:

How to redeem more than 8 Apple Gift Cards: wingroks

Yes, if you order through Apple.com online and pick up in store, the maximum giftcards that can be applied to the order will be 8 only. However, one way to work around that is added the giftcard into your AppleID account first www.apple.com/redeem - maximum amount you can have under your AppleID is $2000, then you can use the giftcards for the rest.

In able to add balance, either use apple.com/redeem and follow the steps or

go to Apple.com --> select shopping cart --> account --> "your apple balance account" --> Manage balance --> add money to balance/ redeem gift card voila!
Once you have added the giftcard into your "apple balance account" (reminder: only $2000 max), during the ordering process, make sure to sign in to your AppleID, and it will show that you have *insert how much credit you got here* and hit "apply", the credit will then apply to your order.

Scenarios 1:
Total order is $2200. Apply $2k credit from previous steps, then you "pay with Apple giftcard" to order…enter giftcard pin…and done!

Scenarios 2:
Total order is $2900 total. Apply $2k credit from previous steps, then "pay with Apple giftcard" to order …entering $100 gift card pin 8 times… pay $100 with debit/credit/paypal.

NOTE: you can use however many giftcard in Apple store to buy products if you want… however keep in mind, all shopping required reservations since they only allowed limited amount of people inside the store at once due to the pandemic.
NOTE **: Yes, you can use Apple gift card for anything, to pay for AppleCare+, books, apps, subscriptions, pay for accessories, etc. "treat it like cash" and yes, it has no expiration dates.

Extra data point - I got a very eager to help cashier. She thought we could ring up all 4 $100 in one transaction and still get the bonuses. She did so and was only going to give 1 $20 Target Card.

So she reversed the transaction and we did them as 4 separate transactions.

First she scanned the $100 Apple GC, then pulled a $20 Target GC out of her register and scanned that to activate. Then I would pay the $100 via Credit Card, and she handed over both gift cards and the receipt.

Rinse and repeat 3 times.

She said you could only do 4 per credit card or the system would think it was fraud, not sure if she was right on that or not - but my wife and I both did 4 each using different credit cards just in case..

I ordered 9 around 6am EST. Received 3 of the 9 within 4 hours. Twelve hours later received cancellation for 4. There was no rhyme or reason to which orders were canceled since the 6 I was waiting on were all spaced within 1-3 minutes of each other. Of the 6 that were left it was 1. Cancelled 2. Pending 3. Canceled 4. Pending 5. Canceled 6. Canceled. I checked the two left pending and there is no longer a cancellation button for these so they might still go through.
Similar situation, one pending gift card ordered at 3:40 AM CST on a Red card no longer has a cancel option, and another pending one from 11:30 AM CST with PayPal doesn't have a cancel option either, though I'm not sure if that one ever did.

EDIT:
I also bought an Apple gift card from Apple.com at 2:06 AM CST, that I still don't have. Not sure what's going on there. It still says Processing on Apple.com.

If i buy an iPhone using gift card ($800) and credit card (remaining balance), and also trade-in my phone (estimated $370), then how would i get trade-in refund? back to credit card or gift card?
They credit the trade-in amount back to your credit card.

Clutchm3Can you link to that deal? Would love to see it. So don't trust BB basically?

I could not place multiple orders at BB on that deal.. i even tried with dads accont (live at same addy though).... but most people had issues.
Even if you put like 900 in apple gc cards on, pay like 50 in credit card and your phone value is lets say 200... Will they give you 200 to your card even though you only used your cc for 50? I'm worreid they would give me a apple gc for the 200.

In my case the cashier just added the bonus card herself. I requested nicely to have 5 individual $100 transactions which she happily did. Used discover card for 5%. My target.com orders were all cancelled but 1. I had ordered x10. Only received 1 and still waiting on the bonus $20 for online...,...and I ordered around 0900 EST... got the only one delivered at 1735
Thank you for your swift, detailed response. I'll try that today. Thanks again!

I believe it's only for orders on Target.com or through the app.

Got 2 online overnight and wanted 6 more so just decided to go in store.

Grabbed a bunch of the $100 Apple Card's and went to self checkout. By the 5th one my bank started declining and I switched cards.

Worked great and all Apple Card's now in my account and all target GCs added to my target wallet.

To all of the people who had orders canceled, are you sure it's Target and not your CC cancelling them? For me, I had 6 go through and despite replying to fraud alert texts, my cc cancelled the next 7 orders. I had to call my CC company and place the orders again. It's been 5 hours and I haven't received a cancellation or the GC's for the last batch yet.

are you scanning a 100 appple and a 20 target gc and it realizes not to charge u 20 at the register? Or are you doing just a 100 apple at register and then someone comes and gives you a 20 target?

Yep, they just credit the trade-in amount back to your card - it's identical to getting a "refund" in that amount. The amount/type of payment for the new phone doesn't matter.

Can confirm. On my fifth order I got a fraud alert, but all I had to do was click "yes" on the alert and then try again, and then the purchase went through.
