Just to answer some common questions I keep seeing:
- Each card needs to be purchased as a separate Target transaction in order to get the Target card bonus for each Apple card.
- You can use the same Target account, no need to make separate accounts (unless you are trying to circumvent the new limit that seems to have been added today).
- You will get an order confirmation email immediately.
- Apple cards will arrive via email several hours to a day later. The email has a link to Target's fulfillment site which will then take you to the actual gift card code. From there you can either manually copy/paste the code or simply click the link and it should open up the proper program on your computer or phone in order to load the card to your Apple account.
- You will receive another email at some point that informs you that the email with the Apple gift card was sent. This email doesn't have any value.
- Target bonus cards will arrive a day or so later via email. I've found that they generally arrive a few hours after you receive the email I mentioned in the previous point above. Sometimes the cards will already be loaded into your Target wallet in the Target app, but the majority of mine have not been preloaded. The email will contain a link that will load them into your Target account. The Target app also has a button that will allow you to combine all the cards into a single balance for easier use.
- The Apple gift cards will trigger the bonus offers on the Apple site (for instance, buy an Apple TV with the Apple gift cards you bought from Target and Apple will send you a $50 Apple gift card).
- You can use the Target gift cards to buy other items at Target that have a gift card bonus offer, but you can't use them to actually buy more gift cards. For instance, you can buy two packs of laundry detergent which has a $5 Target gift card bonus offer and you'll get the $5 bonus gift card, but you can't use the Target gift cards to buy more Apple gift cards.
- You can load up to $2000 in total balance to your Apple account. Additionally you are only allowed to load $2000 total per day. So even if you buy something using your Apple balance you'll still need to wait a day before you can load more gift cards into your balance.
- You can apply up to 8 gift card codes during checkout at Apple.

Apparently, Best Buy will offer the same deal (BB GC) during BF.
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/blac...8908893088

Edit: some idiots have been replying to me on how they like this deal better than BB's since GC is more useful to them. I couldn't care less about your situation. I'm just letting people know about BB's deal.

Assuming you're treating the $20 like cash, you're getting 16.67% off, not 20%.

20% would be if they were only charging you $80 for a $100 gift card. You're paying $100 for $120.

Edit: Unless you're including the Red Card 5% off, in which case it's more like 21%

Bumping this up to remind people that if you have any way to get to a Target store and do this in person that just works so much better.

Number of posters here have done that and it just works out much better than hoping online orders go through.

So if you have a Target near you, stop by the electronics section and look for a giftcard rack. Grab $100 worth (in total, doesn't need to be a single card) and go to a self checkout.

You'll be prompted automatically to scan a Target giftcard for the bonus $20.

Guess you then have to keep your fingers crossed you didn't buy a giftcard like some are reporting where the funds are "stolen" or taken immediately after activation. ;-) <Not sure how widespread the issue is but it seems like more than an isolated incident and I feel for anyone having to try to get their money back...>

If you are really paranoid, once you check out immediately add the card to your Apple account while still in the store. Takes 1 minute using the Apple Store app.

Good luck. I was able to get $1,000 (2 online and 8 in store) this way without any issue and just bought a MacBook Air.

There's no reason to do it that way. Just take them all up to the register and ask them to ring them all up one at a time. I did it with ten cards, then I used the Apple cards to buy a new M1 Air and the Target credit went towards an Xbox Series X. They don't care.
They don't have a Xbox series x in stock though...

You sound all righteous - but you can't buy that many gift cards at Best Buy - one per customer. How do we get around that????

Here to confirm that I've gotten 3 orders so far with success. (That's 3x orders of Apple GC with $20 Target GC delivered successfully)

Timeline:
1. I ordered one on Nov 22 with my credit card. Apple GC and Target GC were delivered within 10 minutes.
2. Nov 23 I placed 2x orders at 11pm thinking I'd get deliveries next morning. It's now 11pm on Nov 24 and I finally got both successfully. The listing says you'll get it within 4 hours, but I think they're definitely backed up. But I can confirm I did each transaction separately on the same Target account with the same credit cards. The Target gift cards were all delivered and applied to this single Target account. I've also applied the Apple gift cards to my Apple account successfully.

I was afraid of getting orders cancelled, so I guess I'm spacing them out. I'm going to order another 2 tonight. Hopefully I'll see it delivered in the morning!

If you look through this thread you probably can see a half dozen or so issues.

Just make sure any card you purchase doesn't look tampered with, activate the card immediately in store, and there should be no issue.

I've gotten nearly 20, it takes about 24 hours but no problem as long as you do them in separate transactions

Nice! Maybe I should just go for it and buy a bunch. I'm just scared of getting my transactions declined haha. Gonna go for it then!

Did you use a special "workaround" to bypass the limit of one per customer? Thanks so much
I just did one gift card per order and repeated. Waited until I received the Apple and Target gift cards before placing the next order.

I'm curious about people running into this problem. How old is your Target account?

Aw dang I'm sorry! I thought Target would be flagging if your account was new or something, but doesn't seem like it. That's so weird.

I found the courage to order a bunch more tonight but hopefully they don't get canceled. I'll try to remember to report back in the morning

When was the order placed?
I placed the order for the Apple gift cards yesterday morning and the last cricket prepaid card was placed yesterday night.

My sis and I have the same billing address and she placed her 7 orders the night before mine and she had no issues. Then, she continued to place more orders yesterday morning too and again none got canceled. So we are wondering maybe Target is tracking the billing address and the system only recognizes one account per billing address?
