Does anybody have any opinion if 8 GB macbook air will be good enough for now and few years for high school kid usage. I was going to buy 16 GB upgrade but the delivery date in Dec end and I need something sooner.

Does anybody has 8 GB version of older intel and it has worked well for last few years through upgrades.
yes, it will be. Multiple online comparisons have verified the close performance of the air vs the pro with the m1 chip. even the thermals are similar. benefit of the pro is the slightly larger track pad, the touch bar, and the 1 extra core for the graphics. nothing too major, imo

Thanks. I was not considering pro but 8GB air vs upgrading to 16 GB air. Does anybody think we should definitely take 16 GB to make it future proof.

Yes. My tax was paid out of the Gift Card redeemed Account balance.

AFAIK, you can only purchase on the apple website if you have consolidated them on the wallet app.
they are in my apple account balance. how would i add that balance to my wallet app? if i want to do a return/rebuy in store - can they pull from my apple account balance?

I bought the 100$ apple gift card yesterday, the apple gift card came but not the target gift card. What do I do now?
I have the same question. I went ahead and redeemed my Apple GC thinking that might release the target GC, nothing so far

I thought mine was redeemed but it turned out they added it to my target wallet

This - I've received 6 of the target cards so far. One of them they had added to my target wallet themselves (so showed redeemed when I tried) - the others they did not. Go figure.

So it took a little over 7 hours for my Apple Gift Cards to show up in my inbox. Purchased yesterday at 2:30pm PST. Arrived at 9:50pm PST.

I opted to both retrieve and redeem the codes via my iPhone which was a surprisingly smooth process. My iPhone immediately recognized the Apple GC Codes, imported them into my Apple Account Balance, then prompted me to confirm the import. I did this process for both of my cards and experienced no delays or 404 errors.

Once the Apple Store went live, I had to manually apply the balance of my account to my purchase. Otherwise, Apple's system would assume I wanted to pay with a card.

With my Black Friday order placed, I am only awaiting the Target GCs (which have yet to arrive) and the new Apple GC that I should get from my BF purchase.

I misread. You have to only buy $100 denominations of the Apple Gift Card , thats what I meant. If you buy $200 for example, you still only get $20, But buying 5 separate transactions of $100 each is correct
Can one 5 units of $100 each in a single transaction?

For those of you that did this, did you do 5-6 separate orders immediately after each one, or did you wait for each Gift Card to come and then place another order? I'm worried my Credit Card will consider them suspicious charges if I bang them out all at once.

Its always best to use a credit card with risky purchases like these because technically its not your money.
Yes, that's true, but buying a GC shouldn't be a risky transaction. I'm also trying to find out how often people are buying GC and receiving ones that have already been redeemed.

I did a few at a time. Like I just bought the final 4 this morning around 3am. I got two already but still waiting on the other two.

That said, the Target gift cards are taking forever. So far I am waiting on 5, four from this morning and one from yesterday.

Use different credit cards if you feel your card company will reject on suspicions of fraud. I used PayPal to get 5% cash back on Chase Freedom and Chase Freedom Flex. Also, Discover Card has 5% cash back on Target.com purchases.

Bought 30 yesterday. Have received all 30 Apple cards now but haven't received any of the Target ones yet.
