Just to answer some common questions I keep seeing:
- Each card needs to be purchased as a separate Target transaction in order to get the Target card bonus for each Apple card.
- You can use the same Target account, no need to make separate accounts (unless you are trying to circumvent the new limit that seems to have been added today).
- You will get an order confirmation email immediately.
- Apple cards will arrive via email several hours to a day later. The email has a link to Target's fulfillment site which will then take you to the actual gift card code. From there you can either manually copy/paste the code or simply click the link and it should open up the proper program on your computer or phone in order to load the card to your Apple account.
- You will receive another email at some point that informs you that the email with the Apple gift card was sent. This email doesn't have any value.
- Target bonus cards will arrive a day or so later via email. I've found that they generally arrive a few hours after you receive the email I mentioned in the previous point above. Sometimes the cards will already be loaded into your Target wallet in the Target app, but the majority of mine have not been preloaded. The email will contain a link that will load them into your Target account. The Target app also has a button that will allow you to combine all the cards into a single balance for easier use.
- The Apple gift cards will trigger the bonus offers on the Apple site (for instance, buy an Apple TV with the Apple gift cards you bought from Target and Apple will send you a $50 Apple gift card).
- You can use the Target gift cards to buy other items at Target that have a gift card bonus offer, but you can't use them to actually buy more gift cards. For instance, you can buy two packs of laundry detergent which has a $5 Target gift card bonus offer and you'll get the $5 bonus gift card, but you can't use the Target gift cards to buy more Apple gift cards.
- You can load up to $2000 in total balance to your Apple account. Additionally you are only allowed to load $2000 total per day. So even if you buy something using your Apple balance you'll still need to wait a day before you can load more gift cards into your balance.
- You can apply up to 8 gift card codes during checkout at Apple.

Apparently, Best Buy will offer the same deal (BB GC) during BF.

Edit: some idiots have been replying to me on how they like this deal better than BB's since GC is more useful to them. I couldn't care less about your situation. I'm just letting people know about BB's deal.

Assuming you're treating the $20 like cash, you're getting 16.67% off, not 20%.

20% would be if they were only charging you $80 for a $100 gift card. You're paying $100 for $120.

Edit: Unless you're including the Red Card 5% off, in which case it's more like 21%

using gc for any part of purchase voids credit card extended warranty or any other protection/benefits.. which is really annoying...

what do you do if you need to do a return on the product?!
All my cards including Discover, Amex blue cash card ended that last year. My only card that still has it is my Amazon prime chase card which I could have used to get 3% CB but doesn't really matter since I used all gift cards for my iPhone 12 pro max. I may buy AC for the first time. As long as I've owned Apple devices I've never had any cracked Screen or device problems where I needed it. I wish they had discounts on AppleCare for BF.

I don't know how you guys are doing it but all but the first gift card I ordered are being cancelled. 5/6 cards cancelled. Used different target accounts, different phone numbers etc. using discover, maybe they are cross referencing payment methods now
The first one I ordered using Discover cancelled. Fortunately, I noticed an email from Discover asking me to confirm that this was a legitimate purchase. Once I clicked the link they provided, all the subsequent purchases went through.

I got each Apple GC approximately 3 hours after the corresponding purchase (they were staggered in time) but, 9 hours later, haven't received any Target GCs.

why are you making multiple accounts and stuff? Probably 99 % of us are using ONE target account that we always use + either a discover card (best option) or target red card (2nd best option)..

I did 2 orders on the same Target account, the first which went through and the second which was cancelled 40 minutes later. That was with the same card and info. Decided to try different account and # but those didn't go through either. Used Discover all 6 times. No fraud alert messages, even called Discover and they said there was no fraud or suspicious activity on their end and that they had approved every transaction which was subsequently cancelled by the merchant...

I don't understand what is going wrong. Any help is appreciated

It seems like total randomness as to how many you can buy before all subsequent orders are cancelled but people were more affected on Black Friday as many report buying up to 30 gift cards on Thursday. Personally, I was only able to buy 4 before Target cancelled all subsequent orders despite using different payment methods and accounts.

Is this "dead"? I just stumbled upon this deal and have been looking to get a new iPhone. So I need to get ~10 of the $100 cards, but I'm not going to do it if I buy 3 and then the rest are canceled because 3 wouldn't do me any good.

Well, I just placed orders for 10. Edit: All emails came through so far. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Bought 3 apple GCs yesterday, received them in emails about 4 hours later.
No target eGC yet, do you have to click on apple gift card link to simulate a "pickup" action? It did say "sent after qualifying items are shipped or picked up"

I ordered a total of six $100 Apple gift cards today. Here's my timeline so far:

7:31 AM - 7:42 AM: Placed six orders using Target app and paid with RedCard

8:36 AM - 11:06 AM: Received all six $100 Apple gift cards via email (successfully redeemed on Apple account)

10:16 PM: Received email from Target indicating the download link for the Apple gift card was sent and I was charged $76

10:33 PM: Received one $20 Target gift card via email

10:55 PM: Target app sent notification that $20 gift card was automatically added to my account

Hopefully the rest will come in throughout the night.

You can add the Apple code manually to your Apple account.

As to Target eGC, if the status on your orders says "email sent"(not apple gc), then the card is sent. You will see the balance either under your Target account Gift card section, OR, receive a separated email with link which you can click and add it to your target account. I encountered both cases.
