Not sure if anyone is in a similar situation but what if my balance is $2000 but the item i want to buy is $2400.

Can I apply my balance and then under the apply 8 gift card section - apply four individual codes?

anyone know if that will work?
This situation is answered in Wiki.

How are you guys being able to order that many online?

I placed 5, 4 were cancelled. Frown
Spread out the orders. I'm on order 87 my first 30 out of 37 were cancelled but once I spread them out, I was able to buy 80
More. Just run a transaction ever 10 to 15 minute.

If you're going to purchase the phone in an Apple store location, they will process the trade in first, and then ring your (new) phone out. Therefore, you would pay $700 something and plus taxes. If I remembered correctly when I used to work there, I believe the taxes might be even from the $700 and not the full purchased price, I could be wrong though. But the $300 will definitely credit right away. Because, the specialist will process your trade in first. Hope that help. So think about that as down payment if you will.

So you can pay $700 in physical Apple GC as a payment type and cover the rest with any credit/debit cards.

For online purchases, you will be charged the full price $1000 plus taxes and then Apple will credit your trade in back once they have received the phone and everything. The process is longer comparing to in store purchase.
I saw your response in the thread and here is my question:

a) I will have to buy the phone online as I will be paying with an Apple account balance (one can't do it at the store, unfortunately).

b) If I pay for it online, how is the trade in handled? Is it a separate transaction or will be it be part of initial iphone 12 pro max order?

c) If I buy the phone online, will I be able to do the trade in the store?

d) If I choose to do the trade via mail, how will I get the $210 trade in value assuming the following scenario:

Total price: $1,306
Paid via account balance: $1200
Remaining paid via credit card: $106

Trade in value is $210.
Will $210 go entirely on my card? Or entirely via Apple gift card? Or a combination?

Thanks in advance

Does anyone know why iphone 12 pro stock might not show for store pickup? I see that no store near me has the iPhone 12 pros - i called and the rep said same - which I find very strange.

Is the reason no stock is showing for pickup due to store restrictions? I would suspect the stores have stock.

Thanks

They are not applying CB for the Target Card, but have been getting them for the $80 Apple portion.

Stores have stock but the pick up windows are very limited. I got a pick up time by signing up early, like go on Apple's website and checkout in the morning at 7am to get a pickup window that day.

General question: If the base price of a phone is 1200 at the store and you do a trade in at the store for $200, at the time of purchase, will you be charged sales tax on 1200 or 1000?

hmm. ok will give it a try but honestly i see two things here - i saw a page where i can make a reservation

but then each time i went to checkout - iphone 12 pro max - i can't find any stock for pick up - it just says unavailable.

i dont want to make an appt to go there and then find out they dont have stock

so unsure if they truly dont have stock or they did that to prevent crowds.
