The walmart deal was way better, but i dont think you can find that deal anymore. My friend got it last week and i have been looking for it since and its gone I think.

As for tv comparison, this one i think is just the android tv version. So no in built roku, but i think its the same panel and everything

There were security holes in TCL android tvs. The holes were patched, but there are other concerns with it. I'd read up on it before buying, I honestly don't know how big a problem it is.

$148 is the new bottom for a cheap decent 55" 4k TV.

I bought this tv as an inexpensive unit for my daughters room. I bought the 50" from bb and paid 229$. I tested the picture quality against my 900 series Sony and clearly the Sony was better but I was surprised at how good the picture quality was. You can get technical about a lot of things and pic it apart but I was very pleasantly surprised. In the meantime, my bedroom tv went out an old plasma Samsung. Now I need another tv for the bedroom and I'm giving this 55" version some thought. Orig planned to buy another Sony 900 or 950 but I would have expected to see a far bigger difference to justify the cost. I saw the walkart special. That was a heck of a deal but I didn't feel like going to Walmart at the time
