you could also just use any spare pillow if you have one, that way you can keep it longitudinal and get between your ankles as well

These types of pillows are awesome. I have lower back issues here and there, and sleep is so much better when I use one of these. Not a knock on this brand, but I would try to find one that has a strap/loop on it so it slides over one leg. If it doesn't have a strap then it will def do its own thing in the night. YMMV on that part though.

I have had mine for 3 years and it is still in great shape.

Not sure if it was this alone or the fact that i started stretching more but either way this knee pillow is super comfortable and seems like it's helping.

It will remove the tension in both if you're a side sleeper. I have a compressed spine from my time in the army and this has helped with back and hip pain.

It will. I was a skeptic too but it's very helpful for lower body alignment. I don't have this particular brand but assume they're all the same; which is a generic memory foam.

This is what I do as well and no issues. This product looks like it would work, but seems gimmicky.
