The title is confusing-2-Bay/4-Bay.
Should it be 2-Bay/4-Core?

I used Synology first then just buy additional QNAP because of the 4 free security camera license. The storage management is stupid, you have to know what is think volume, thin volume, ... with Synology plug and play and you will not waste storage like QNAP did. With QNAP you install software you have to install the requirements software... like with Qumagie you have to install Qumagie Core first and then install Qumagie. What is the stupid idea for software and storage management???

Very nice little unit if you want powerful software that is ready to use out of the box.

This model (with this processor) might have limited or none hardware transcoding capability, in case that might be needed.

https://docs.google.com/spreadshe...0jdj3tmMPc

It's not on the list, but other models with potentially similar processors don't have HW transcoding support.
