Afaik it's the franchise that takes the cost. Subway pays a negligible amount as a compensation on this promo.
They should have a better system of displaying if they accept/don't accept the coupon.

Is there another code to actually get meat on the loaf of bread?

Agreed, or a filter or notification. The only way you know currently is if you go to checkout and the offer isn't applied (e.g. total $$ is incorrect). They don't even tell you this at checkout, no doubt hoping that people will check out and not check the total first.

Thanks, but my local subway doesn't participate in these promotions. Never understood why a franchise wouldnt participate, sucks for me Frown
Find another place to eat. Sounds like one of those Scrooge franchises who just exist off repeat patrons.

Yeah the continuity of service with these subway coupon deals stinks. Usually I get a we don't accept that along with a story. I usually stop them with a "Ok, thanks!" I have been having luck with coupons using the subway in walmart. I don't know if those subways are corporate or if I am just lucky with my local one.
I've run into similar issues w/ coupons. That's why I just order ahead. If the places accepts the coupon code, then I know it works. I'd hate to get to the Subway w/ a scannable coupon and have them reject it.

One Subway near me does take in person coupons, but they have a sign with the list of eligible sandwiches on it. Guess better than nothing.

I typically order ahead on the apps (Taco Bell, Starbucks, Firehouse Subs) when I go places nowadays. Real time saver. Waiting in line or drive-thru can waste a lot of time. Order ahead and I'm in and out quickly. Smilie

I tried to take advantage of this previously at my local subway and when I found out they weren't participating I asked about other subways in the area. The manager said that none of the 7 in my immediate area were participating and that roughly 80% of the subways in the country also were not.
I'm not sure if there was some internal franchise squabble or what, but it seems a lot of stores didn't like the timing of this promotion when it came out while the majority of the country was locking down.

These franchises barely make enough money to cover the costs. A friend of mine owned two Subway restaurants for 5 years and he was making less then I did in my cushy corporate job while working 7 days a week for 10-12 hours a day with hardly any days off. And these promotions are not reimbursed to the restaurant by the franchise. So the owner eats the cost of the promotion or risks losing customers who think they are entitled to all the free stuff they can get their hands on.

Looks like your friend gave you the same sob story all owners give to their customers. Difference is you bought it.

None of the Subway's near me will take this coupon. The only BOGO one that they'll accept is the one where you have to buy a drink as well.

Seems to be only select Subway locations, just like last time around. I tried the promo code for two of the closest Subways and it didn't work.

The only that worked was a Subway in a hospital near me. Stick Out Tongue

Thanks for the deal. I got two Philly footlongs Smilie
Is there a directory of participating or do I have to go ask in person?

My local Subways literally have a posting up that says "due to the current economic situation we are not participating in the B1G1 promotion:. Not sure why they spend all that money advertising on TV when I have yet to find one that participates.
