30 calendar days from the date on the packing slip or invoice. Dell uses the shipping date. Confirmed via chat.

Seems like a great deal. I'm getting a shipping date in January however. Did anyone else have this? I am in Hawaii, which may be the reason. Tia

Sounds like an issue for your Warranty.

Same. Shows January 11 ship date. Can't imagine it takes two months to build these.

Yeah thats what I'm afraid of. I've updated driver, bios etc. and its still happening. It will play video via Youtube without issue however when my son does simple school work it will lock up. Its been less then 30 days. Anyone know if Dell will just replace it or do they require a full return and wait for replace?

Frustrated since the hunt for a decent laptop for decent price has been tough lately. This was a great deal and seemed to be a great computer until the past few days.

You'll have to ask Dell but they'll probably replace it.

I had a Toshiba that regularly crashed and they said they won't support me because I installed software on the machine. I never bought a Toshiba laptop since.

One year mail in service is included in the price so they probably want the laptop back for repair and then return. Have you called customer support (800.624.9896)?

30-Day Return Period for Certain Products and Accessories: Unless you have a separate agreement with Dell, or except as provided below, all hardware, accessories, peripherals and parts may be returned if requested and approved by Dell within 30 calendar days from the date on the packing slip or invoice for a refund or credit of the purchase price paid. Note that your refund or credit may be reduced by the amount of shipping and handling fees and any applicable restocking fees (as further described below). Any product returned to Dell without prior authorization from Dell will be considered an unauthorized return, and you will not receive a refund or credit for the product and Dell will not ship the product back to you. For instructions about requesting a return, see "How to Return a Product" below. All approved returns must be received by Dell within 30 calendar days of the return approval date otherwise the amount of refund or credit may be reduced or eliminated if the product(s) are returned late.

Is 230 nits too low to affect indoor usage? I am interested in a 2 in 1 with i5 or AMD 4500 under $600.
