Is 230 nits too low to affect indoor usage? I am interested in a 2 in 1 with i5 or AMD 4500 under $600.
This is a solid choice. For indoor it should be fine, it will give you issues outdoors

For indoor even 200 nits should be sufficient. For outdoor, I would not go with anything under 400 nits.

For an i5? This should be $399 to be competitive. i see some i5s recently for $349.
Good luck with that laptop. At 349 you will NOT get a FHD screen.

Same. Shows January 11 ship date. Can't imagine it takes two months to build these.
Thats a deal breaker for me... 2 months from order date to get the laptop.. and the 30-day return window starts from invoice date with Dell. So you cannot return the laptop even on day 1 of receiving it.

Is this the New model? It doesn't say "New" like other Inspiron 2in1 on Dell website.

30 calendar days from the date on the packing slip or invoice. Dell uses the shipping date. Confirmed via chat.

Ok that helps. I still cannot imagine 2 months lead time on a world where we are used to 2-day shipping 😂

Can anyone compare to this for me: https://slickdeals.net/f/14539118-staples-black-friday-lenovo-flex-5-14-fhd-2-in-1-laptop-w-intel-core-i5-processor-16gb-ram-512gb-ssd-win-10-for-549-99 please?

Obviously 1/2 the RAM, but I am worried about build quality with the Lenovo. Thanks

The newest 11th generation i5 is one of Dell's Black Friday deals, and is a MUCH better deal for only $50 $100 extra. It's also in stock for shipment now. $649.99.

The latest i5 is faster and is more efficient than the 10th generation.

But the real difference is Intel's new "Iris Xe" embedded graphics.

With the Iris Xe graphics, the video will be 2x as fast as the old "HD 4400 Graphics" system, and about right between a MX330 and an MX350 laptop, which is very powerful for a 2 in 1.

Use your Dell account (free to register) and get "expedited shipping" free, normally a $15 surcharge.

That's what I ordered a few minutes ago, and it's scheduled to arrive here Tuesday.

The one I ordered [dell.com] has the advantage of being a Dell, the newer 11th gen i5, has hugely better graphics, and WiFi 6 instead of 5.

It has disadvantages of less RAM and a smaller SSD, but is upgradable with a $30 ram stick, and I don't expect to fill the SSD with all the cloud storage I use. But that's upgradable as well.

It was VERY difficult for me to decide not to buy the Costco deal because of the 4 years of warranty I get with an executive membership and using their branded credit card. VERY difficult. But I think the Dell laptop will be survive just fine.

Wouldn't that be $100 extra?

Yeah, sorry. Still a much better deal, in my opinion. Especially since you're getting it right away instead of next year.

Fixed my earlier post with a strikethrough.
