My first deal post! I just ordered one for store pickup, will update this post with a review after I setup at the office tomorrow morning.

Update: Picked up the monitor this morning, great looking monitor with minimal bezels and a fast easy setup. Straight out of the box its calibrated nicely though I will need to adjust to my preferences. I am mostly using my system for tech and basic graphic design work along with some light audio and video editing. At the moment my laptop is being stubborn and defaulting to the Intel GPU, updating drivers so I can take full advantage of 1050Ti. Very good buy at $260

No way, this guy codes too fast for 30Hz...

Great monitors paid $359 earlier this year. Make sure your system can run them at 60hz. At 30hz they flicker. Currently using a new MacBook Pro to drive these at native resolution USB-C to DisplayPort.

Still you can use this.
wouldn't 30hz be a pain to use? I will mainly use it to code and maybe watch movies sometimes but no gaming.

Thank you for posting this deal! Picked up two. I've had alerts for 28" or 29" monitors for more than six months and this is the first one of only a few that I was able to catch. I am replacing some old and broken CRTs for arcade machine conversions, and 28" and 29" is the sweet spot in size for many cabinets. However, the common monitor sizes jump from 27" to 32", so it is difficult to find a deal on anything in the 28" to 30" range.

Is it worth upgrading from a 27" WQHD monitor to a 4K one? Moving from FHD to 27" WQHD gave me a lot of screen estate to play with, not sure if 4K will be better since I may have to increase the display scaling of text/apps to see it.
Think you may definitely need to do scaling if you're happy with the size of everything on your screen now. For reference - I just went from 25in @1080p to 32 @qhd and I don't think Id want it smaller/higher res than that for office work etc. Ymmv of course.

I picked one of these up at the beginning of quarantine. It's been a champ for daily software dev and videos look amazing on it too.

Was worth $350. Would bite at this price if I needed another!

I can't decide between a 28" IPS 4k 60 hz monitor like this and a 27" IPS 2k 144hz monitor.

I currently have a 24" TN 144hz monitor and want a dual monitor setup. I play a lot of Overwatch, a true FPS and like the 144hz for this.

My graphics card is a gtx 1080 g-sync.

Any thoughts? Maybe I'll try this one and then return it if I don't like it.

I have been using thw aame model for more than 6months, excellent quality. Recommended for someone who is into coding, work and watching content abf playing games at 60hz
Only drawback is vesa mount on this is not compatible for many things
I used metal cutters to cut off the tiny bit of excess on my vesa mount. Strongly recommend if people are willing to do that, because I could literally not find a 75x75 only mount on amazon

I would go with the 144hz 2k monitor for sure. Especially with your card it will look buttery smooth on it

I just got the LG monitor and saw this one come out. I believe the specs on the LG was better. Both monitors just lack in being able adjust the height.. but the quality so far has been good

having recently made this move, I'd say yes, for me it is a welcome upgrade.
I even kept text scanning at 100% which for my use had been fine, but even if you scale text bigger the added pixels has been a welcome upgrade.

I got the lg one best buy also has on sale for around this price and trying to decide to keep it or not for this exact reason. With scaleing it's really not much difference to my dell 27" 1440p. The Dell also has better color. While text is definitely sharper side by side, it's also much smaller. Plus I would not say the text is unsharp on the Dell, it's just sharper on the lg. And with no scaling it's way to small at this size.

Since my monitor is working fine I'm leaning towards returning it. Once it dies I would probably get something larger if it's 4k. I also have a 55" 4k that I use as another monitor but I mostly use it for viewing media and lightroom, not really as a workspace for much else since it's too big. plus the color accuracy is crap which is why I was looking into getting an actual monitor instead of using a tv. I think between a 32-40 inch 4k would be a better to balance practical size and the usefulness of those extra pixels.
