Not everyone has access to ethanol free gasoline. Closest place to me is 133 miles away and normally in the opposite direction of my travel. I'm not rich enough to afford to buy $20/gallon TruFuel either.

Ethanol free gas still has a 6 month or so shelf life when when sealed properly.

Wanna guess how long you can store propane, in a new cylinder before it starts to degrade?
Just buy it - did at higher price. Super quiet, tested at my parents house and about 20 feet away my mom said I thought you were going to start it... it was already running.
This is common for every home backup generator. You don't run them in the rain as they are not weatherproofed. It is ironic, though, since you need them mostly during inclement weather.

Lots of solutions. I keep mine under one of those 6 foot folding tables against my back fence. Then lean scrap plywood to make a little form. For something more elegant, they sell "generator tents."

This is an awesome price. I thought when I paid $630 for this it was a steal. At $599 this is a no brainier.

Has anyone installed a conversion kit on one of these to run on propane or natural gas?

Interested in this too. I installed a motor snorkel on a smaller gas unit that lets it run as a tri-fuel setup. I wonder if this has a similar option.

If you are in the market for this size generator, you are stupid not to buy this immediately. Don't check if this is a reasonable price (it is), buy immediately. When these sell out you will kick yourself for not buying and wasting time doing research. I wish I hadn't bought this thing's little cousin, because I would certainly have bought this at this price instead. Seriously, great product, great company, and crazy price.

I'm thinking the same thing, dual fuel sounds nice but this WEN seems to have really good ratings

My opinion is your losing some valuable running watts with the firman. But I wouldn't use propane, so I'm not in the market for duel fuel.
