At $10.83 this comes out to 15.9¢/oz. it's about 17¢/oz at my local grocery store without any coupons. Pompeian regularly goes on sale here for about 13¢/oz

The oil is actually better than good IMHO, considering I used to press my own in Campobasso, I'd take my own word over reviews on fake spot. It can be had for less money though.

edit: I should correct this above statement, they were engaging in deceptive practices in the past, but they were called out on their behaviors and they corrected their ways. From my memory, the CEO denied all of it.

For general cooking I get the California olive oil. Is the Pompejian better or worse than that?

For salads and better stuff I use the Goya olive oil. It's great but also expensive.

Pompeian is one of the cheapest EVOO sold by big chain stores such as Walmart, Smart&Final, Big Lots, and it's regularly on sale. It comes in nasty plastic bottles.
And while cheap doesn't always translate into low quality, it is a pretty good indicator of quality. Personally, I don't consider Pompeian a good EVOO. For a dollar or two more, Grocery Outlets sells better EVOO, some organic, such as Cullen Creek. The expiration date for EVOO is very important; it's risky to get one with less than 1 year shelf life, as it goes rancid, especially the oil in plastic bottles.

I usually get the value olive oil from my local stores. The price ranges from 16 to 20$ for the 101oz. I've had this particular one and like it quite a bit but the price even with all the discount and the size is a very small deal. Either way, thanks OP!

If you have never had this before and are the type that purchase the inexpensive olive oil like I do, then by all means this is a decent quality.

**EDIT**

never mind, just found the 101oz and it's 25% off and with S&S It's 15.88$ shipped. I think I spent similar at my local grocery store, but that's a good price!
