Q: Can someone clarify if AT&T prepaid WiFi calling works on all Unlocked phones? Why I ask is, I am using Cricket wireless and WiFi calling works only on Cricket branded phones and my home doesn't have good signal and rely on WiFi calling

I've been on the 8gb + 17gb walmart/At&t Prepaid plan for over a year and it looks like they're still offering it. 25gb of full speed data with hotspot for $40.00 per month is still a pretty good deal. Ya just need to purchase a cheap prepaid phone from them. I actually ended up returning mine after I got the 17gb bonus data.
These look like decent, single-month commitment options without much hoops to jump through. But I agree the Walmart plan is better at $40 and even the yearly $300 ($25/month) is better for the lowest price; that $300/year is 8 GB plus rollover and tethering. The catch is that you need to port in and have to commit for the year. My wife just renewed her yearly plan for the same price.

This isn't bad, and AT&T coverage is good, but Verizon prepaid is only $25/month for unlimited talk, text, and 5GB of data after 9 months, with autopay. The plan starts at $40, with $5 off for setting up autopay, then $5 off per month at the 3 month mark, and another $5/month at the 9 month mark. That seems like the best deal to me, at the moment, for one line.
Verizon Prepaid is heavily deprioritized in crowded areas.

Yup. As a cheapskate, I have Verizon prepaid, but my whole family has postpaid. I could be standing next to them, and I'm the only one without a decent data connection. Does AT&T deprioritized for prepaid customers?

Do you have to buy the phone in store, or can it be done online?

I am on $50 monthly $40 with auto pay discount. My plan just renewed today. What are my options to switch to $30 plan. I am good with 5gb data. Any idea these plans will be there until next month . Thanks
my existing plan $35 got renewed few days ago and i just tried to change the plan to $30 for 5 GB data. its asking for a new payment, while i am processing the payment something went wrong. now the numbers are in 'inactive' state (all group member lines too).. tried calling ATT customer care they are now closed.
Decent deal with a high data cap. Be aware of this in the plan details:

Video Streaming: For content we can identify as video, wireless streaming speed will be slowed to Standard Definition quality.
This description isn't present most of the other prepaid plans and suggests this plan will disallow HD streaming (likely anything above 480p) entirely on mobile data.

I switched from Verizon prepaid to ATT prepaid about 6 months ago and haven't noticed any deprioritization issues even in crowded metro areas.
